Hope Outweighs Sorrow

Love feels like it’s magical; your heart burns like it's on fire. And your ears only hear hope; not whispers of a liar. When trust's shield starts to weaken, he shores it up with more lies. And an outpouring of pain replaces truth as it dies. Fear fortifies nagging doubts as they morph into goodbyes. And failed dreams discreetly drown; in tears spilled from crying eyes. Yet, time carries you away; to where hope outweighs sorrow. For, like a river, it flows toward a new tomorrow.

Your Better End

YOUR BETTER END To be To stare To contemplate To risk To dare Once and again To trust To leap A Jump of faith To fall To land No one can say To forgive To forget Or try again To breathe To love Feel whole and place The fears The doubts To rest and then To grow To become Your better end *** January 20, 2017

Embracing a Dream

Today I fell head-over-heels in love; beyond happiness, I'm soaring above. Love's gentle, and yet harbors such power, that lingers like the scent of a flower. I thought that I understood who I was, till I felt the magic that true love does. I cannot put my feelings into words, eclipsing the sun, they outfly the birds. As my heart opened to accept love's gift, doubts and inhibitions were set adrift. Love is an extraordinary feeling, lifting me to heights that leave me reeling. I'm afloat, on billowing clouds of bliss, embracing a dream love blessed with a kiss.

Love Just Waved Goodbye

Don’t cry for me when I’m gone

I’ve forgiven you it's time to move on

I understand we’ve all had our doubts

And fears made us enact them all out

Don’t cry about things of yesterday

Know that somehow, God willing

We’ll work it out someday

So as I walk away tears fill my eyes and we both cry

Love just waved goodbye

Aching For Love

She sits alone in quiet of the night as thoughts of him wrap ‘round her yearning heart, and whispers ‘cross her skin; her flesh excites while longing for his touch when they’re apart. She yearns to gaze into his eyes of blue while feeling his caress engulf her soul, and have their hearts eclipse as love renews; she longs for his return to make her whole. She reaches for her parchment and her quill to iterate her feelings and her doubts; for him to know her longing thoughts instill, and from this poet's pen, a poem pours out, “My lonely spirit aches while you’re away, and longs to feel your love as hearts replay.”

If a Goodbye Echoes

If a goodbye echoes when you say hello
And tears concealed admonish your smile
As life abandons you without hinting why,
Did you miss the sound of her silent cries?

If you need to ask how long does love last
You haven't heard the moan of her heart
Where quietly she hides grief of her wants
And quelling her passion, embraces doubts.

Her sadden vibes don't well-up your eyes
And the sound of her hurt just passes you by
As contemptuous voice ridicules her plight,

What it wouldn't say, you certainly have.

Tears On My Pillow

When I feel alone and sad,
Lying on my bed,I hold on to my pillow.
I close my eyes,I think Of You,
You are My Sun,My Star,My Moon,
Shining Up My Sky,You take away my blue!

When I feel alone and sad,
I dream away,Feelin myself,sleeping close to you.
You brush Off my tears,my doubts and fears,
You are My Sun,My Star,My Moon,
Shining up my sky,You take away my blue.

Through the Mirror

So now I know
Life has played its part
I never would believe
that I could die
from a broken heart

No you can’t mend me
it’s been far too long
everyone will go
everyone has gone
everyone will leave
that God did lend me

I could only watch
then step aside
as it all just went
no matter what I tried
the only thing I can say
was how hard I cried

It was a shiver in the mirror
A reflection of pain
Where the shadows of doubts
were cast and bent
Any old soul
or any message sent
Were at the end of the road
and who is left out

So now I know
Life has played it’s part
now I do believe
that I will die
from a broken heart

A Rainbow of Wishes

With the chivalry of youth, your love shields my heart from harm. And restores my faith in truth with its innocence and charm. You excite my heart in ways that inspire passion to start. And flames flare into a blaze; as caresses touch my heart. Your sweet honey-dipped kisses taste like sugar on my lips. And a rainbow of wishes harbors fantasy dream ships. Happiness, guided by love, found its way into my heart. And lifted me high above; the doubts tearing it apart. Knowing you'll always be there; comforts both body and soul. And the closeness our hearts share allows two halves to feel whole.

Mystified

Love is my favorite game.
I love to play along.
As silver threads weave
their way thru my soul.
Memories of futures past.
Echoing across the land.
Years started to drift on by.
Losing loved ones dropping like flies.
As the sun slips below the skies.
All I wanna do is cry.
Run away and hide.
Then all doubts of you leaving drift away.
As I was mystified listening to the whispers in the wind.

Jesus Call His Name

When in doubt
Call his name
When in pain
He will take it away

Call his name
When you say a Prayer
If your sad and blue
He is there for you

If you want a hug
He will embrace you
If you want to talk
He will listen

Call his name
If you want answers
If you have doubts
He is the one

Call his name
If you want someone to love
Sing to him
Give him praise

Lend a ear
Give a hand
Help those in need
Call his name

Love's Magic

When love confronts uncertainty, emotions may levy a cost. And yet, in your fantasy realm, that reality's often lost. Love's magic feels spontaneous; igniting sparks within your heart. Yet, they get quickly extinguished when passion's flame fails to start. Your doubts swiftly morph into fears, that drift into forevermore. And struggling with anxiety, you pull memories to explore. A flash from the past sparks a smile as you recall feelings of love. And revisiting yesterdays you learn why push turned into shove. Time will slowly erase the hurt as dying dreams and hopes renew. And you will fall in love again; for somewhere, someone dreams of you.

Casse - Broken

You have a twinkle in your eye
I confess as you pass me by
I gaze over at your thighs
Thinking would she ever, ever
Call me maybe

I see you dance with passions glow
You have that way, and such a sway
I dream of nights I held you close
I wish more than anything dear
Call me maybe, maybe

Maybe I can love
From torments past
Maybe I can express moments to last
I think of all the wasted doubts
Maybe one day I shall call

Call to arms, the lover’s battle
I just called, to maybe say
That my careless whispers may hold sway
We are callous day to day
Dreams we forget, they slip away

Call me, maybe

Night Light

Balloon tears raining havoc
While doubts cascade freely
Paddling through droplets of glass
Her life force drifts through endless passages

White lights reach out to embrace the waves
Shield her from perpetual anguish
Worry only dims the path bestowed
Faith exhibits a lantern lit

She Held My Heart

She Held My Heart
Poetic expression by JC Hawkens

On a Crisp Autumn day
I met an Angel of such gentle Grace
The warmth of her smile
The soothing of her voice
The melting of my heart

And within that faithful day
She listened to my sad story
And she Judged me not
She replied not in sympathy
But in truth she offered
Confessed her own troubles and doubts
She showed me that I was not alone

Mended my soul
Healed my splintered Heart
Shared a careful whisper
A soft touch

It is but only once in a thousand years
That one happens upon an Angel
And knows with a single smile
That this woman holds my Heart

If only I had the Courage to tell Her!!

A Writers Prayer

Lord God thank you

for showing us the true meaning of love.

And loving us

despite our faults,

 is unconditional love.

Help us to be more like You,

and put our differences aside.

So we can choose love over hate.

I want to thank you Lord

for turning my doubts

 into reality.

I would've never thought

I would be writing,

and I'm sorry for not trusting you.

Thank you God for speaking through my pen

 and into people's hearts.

Thank you for the bloggers

 that follow my blogs,

and for those who stumble across it.

May the words that speak through my pen,

continue to reach the masses.

Don'T Waste Your Life

People use this earth like a facility

To generate felicity

Finding happiness in everything that's wrong

Like drinking, smoking and using a bong

But what's the point of this when your life is gone?

You could end up a murderer or a con

Acting like everything is fine when its actually upside down

Why don't you come to Jesus Christ, exchange your cross for a crown

Girls have modesty, don't wear a sleazy gown

Coz you might attract the wrong crowd

And that's not what love is about

Let the Word of God change you inside out

And may the Holy Spirit dispel all your fears and all your doubts

Let Go

Breathe, inhale, receive,
The power of nature’s love.
Let go of your loss.
Relinquish the doubts, the fears,
That have nailed you to your cross.

Restless

Beneath the veil of night
Restless limbs lay tangled
Amongst her linens and her doubts
Sun kissed skin, remembering him
Her fingers gently trace
The faintest whisper of his touch
Soft upon her breath, his name
She must learn to say goodbye

Come On Now

Come on now..
How bad would it be..
If you would only amuse yourself with me...
Come on now..
How bad would it be..
If you release and lose yourself in me..
Come on now..
How bad would it be..
If you would only fall in love with me...
Come on now...
Just free your doubts..
It wouldn't be bad..
Come on now..
Just let it all start with a kiss...
How bad would that be??

Graceful Lily

Intense emotions surged when justice sought
if I defended wrongful witness brought.
Then I was saved through Daniel; nearly caught.
Accused of sins absurd, derogatory words
from people’s tongues not curbed, but gossip which they heard.
Cupidity the driving force behind
the false accusers’ spiteful state of mind.
So rarely friends could then be found in kind.
The tides will ebb and flow as inner doubts still grow;
for balm of ocean’s throw thus right so many lows.
If seen at daily tasks, I’m never fraught.
I won’t let memories my love to curdle.
Some kindness helped recover peaceful find,
depend’n whichever way the wind should blow.

Lessons

It is in the very act, of loving each other,
Day by day,
With patience,
With humor,
With doubts,
With passion,
And much forgiveness,
All without losing ourselves, that we learn to love.
