lovelove,
I love him with all that I am ...
Beyond the noise and hype of this world
Beyond the ebb and flow of ocean tides
Beyond all the hurt and pain we have borne
Beyond the dereliction and abuse
Beyond the bias and disrespect
Beyond the abandonment
The disparagement, the scorn
I honor him, his beautiful spirit, and his heart
And ‘though tomorrow is not promised to him and me
As far as my heart does know,
I will love him to infinity

freedom,
Freedom is a simple
two syllable word
but has a meaning far greater
than it's seven letters
it means the right
to live life unconditionally
in peace love and contentment
too many are subjected
to tyranny and disrespect
will it ever change
well we can only hope
if there's any way
in my waning years
it would only be possible
to affect future generations
but my one small voice
needs much help!
please join me won't you
show me it's not too late!

Why do you enjoy my suffering?
Does my torment really please you?
Disrespect me as often as you like.
Ignore my existence the way you do.
Why do you enjoy my suffering?
You claim to love with all your heart.
Selfish, cruelty must be an art form.
You excel in hatred, tearing me apart.
Why do you enjoy my suffering?
Your cold smile could conjure the dead.
Your evil stare torments my dreams.
I wish I could get you out of my head.

prayer,
Riots and chaos chastised by our kin.
More sibling rivalry taken right on the chin.
We need to wake up and pull our heads from the ground.
The hatred of past is still all around.
Keep love in your heart and never lose faith.
Do your part in these times and never cause scathe.
Please forgive me my God and the part that I’ve played.
Please cast down your light and help to persuade.
We all have thrown stones in our self-righteous ways.
I now see the light and the error of my ways.
From this day forward I will no longer disrespect.
We are all created equal in every aspect.

She has overwhelmed me with her love
My love is not for legs
Not only her skin texture
The properly shaped head neither
Her thoughts can entrance
Those of a woman without disability
They say I am accursed
That loving her is abominable
Yet they admire the outward look only
And ignore her for her outward look
Like disables are barren and disrespect her inward beauty
They thought she would not conceive
And now they wonder
They ask me, “How did you make it?”
For our son is healthy and sound
Now they know, disability is not inability

More and greater than any other love in the world
Over everything she will putt you
Regardless of what you have done your mother will fight for you till the end
Disrespect your mom never you shall
Even on the worst of your days
Madresitas las amo, mothers all around I love you
All moms have a love for their children
Delivering a baby is not easy so to all you hard working moms
Regardless of how old you are or what raze you are, your children
Enthusiastically appreciate the love that you have for us because there is nothing like amor

Silence.
Just the sound of waves crashing against the shore
And no more.
No more voices of doubt and regret,
Or self disrespect.
No more heart break,
Or separation ace.
No more waiting for a new dawn,
Or old pain to be gone,
No more wishing away thoughts that will not budge.
Just silence...
The silence of love.

But ‘Leader of the Free World’ that madness ends.
Such arrogance puts a target on your back.

North Korea’s a fraud, Gepetto’s a hack.
Bombastic tweets, is this the new politics?
Turn off the ego tones down rhetoric.

Chances are,

Far beyond me
Per chance
Perhaps
They will love poetry
Infinitesimal chance
They will uphold
Atheistic views
No chance
Absolutely none
They won't disrespect you.

Involuntarily I exist in this institution
Experiencing the pain that’s dedicated to my life
I plead the fifth to the constitution
It’s strange, I never lived once, but somehow I’ve died thrice
A sacrificial lamb lay to pasture
Covered in hatred, drenched in loathing, exposed and despised
Just some of the stones I gathered
Along with scorned words, disrespect and lies
Uncomfortably I lay in my tomb
Placed here because I’ve tried to love you
I’m moving over and making room
Because, I too sentence you to this doom

To my Troubled Tears?
Leaving them Linger, Live Long
a Life Lacking Love?
a World of Wounds that Wakes
What never Wanted to Wake?
’Wait’, Word that Weakens
Every Ember of Ecstasy
Shaking, Shivering, Screaming
my Lifeless tears Lamenting
Mourning for More Maturity
Begging for a Blissful Bond
Their hearts Throbbed Terribly..
I Am An Abashment, Angel
To my Troubled Tears
I Do Deserve their Disrespect

Two words often spoken
in appreciation
like a polite token
during conversation.
A halfhearted gesture
delivered on the run
a meaningless measure
habitually done.
Seething with attitude
yet politically correct
a shallow platitude
just short of disrespect.
A offhanded attempt
to cite gratitude due
and it reeks of contempt
when someone snaps...thank you!
Yet when spoken with love
they represent much more
a genuine feeling
is the goal you strive for.
And spoken from the heart
they uplift someone's pride
and a smile soon appears
for they feel good inside.

love, mother,
I hadn't noticed them when she was well—
The deep creases in Mother's face.
Now as she lay dying, they told a tale
Of selfless service nothing could erase.
In one crease I saw myself at age four
Crying out at night for her wearied embrace.
My teen disrespect was there—and more.
Each crease disclosed another disgrace.
Affronts of all kinds were in the creases,
I had sculpted them with foul disfavor.
The shame I now own seldom ceases
Just as Mother's love would not waiver.
Before she goes, I confess my sorrow
For having acted as an ungrateful son.
Balm of Gilead could I but borrow
And apply it to her creases one by one.

dream, faith, god, heartbroken, how i feel, love hurts, men,
Lost all my faith in men tonight.
Should I give up my dream of finding Mr. Right?
Tired of the games and the lack of respect being shown.
Oh God why is it so hard to find a man who is grown?
Tired of the guys who constantly spit game.
Tired of hearing them claim they aren't all the same.
None of them are original even though they all wish to be.
Why would I feel special with a man who's ran through many females before finding me?
Easy come easy go. I had to move around.
Can't let a man disrespect me and not stand my ground.
What is the point in having something if you have nothing to loose?
Even though I'm not broken hearted I'd be lying if I said my heart isn't bruised.

lost
you realize
it won’t swing you
as far as the nearest
window of freedom
a tower, a tour, a tempest
the poor, pathetic forgotten
ones. Like a beautiful given

I brush against your face and
your lips as sworn enemies
of distasteful nemesis
cease to exist
until
there is no more sand
to strike upon
to admit I have
lost and you have
won

I try to keep optimistic
By breaking dishes and filing insurance for new ones
I try to be light-hearted
By laughing at old people...just cause their old
and brittle bones are funny
I try to love by keeping in contact with recently jailed convicts
Hell! they need love to behind steel bars love is jail
I try to be a good daughter by cursing out my mother's good intentions
Keeping optimistic is the key to not driving ones self so crazy...
That even straight jackets start to look chic
So come!... Laugh with me in vanity and disrespect
Imitate the anorexics by waving cheeseburgers
Stall the bulimics by locking them out the bathroom
Watch them digest
Ha HA HA Ha ha ha !!!!!!!!!!!!

MALES DON’T HAVE MONOPOLY
Those reading my poems should know,
He too, can be a She.
Not talking about transgender,
narcissist both … can be.
Males don’t have monopoly on,
emotional abuse.
Females seen as cruel as men.
when anger … they let loose
Both hate everything we stand for,
and quick to let us know.
Disrespect what we believe, for
friends and us ... contempt show.
Both appear to be real charmers
through mask won’t let folks see.
When not being observed reveal,
how demeaning … can be.

I like you enough to compromise for you, and make sacrifices for you if need be.
Enough to miss you incredibly when we're apart, no matter what length of time it's for, and
regardless of the distance.
Enough to smile at the mere thought of you, or call from you at the right time.
Enough to spend time with you, be there for you when you need or want me, and never,
ever disrespect you or lie to you.
Enough to know this is not a relationship, but a mutual agreement amongst friends, an
intimate friendship.
I like you this much, JUST ENOUGH, not to fall in love with you.

How free can free verse be
if effervescence is mandatory?
Its bubble’s bound to burst
with disquietude and thirst.
Perpetual hunger makes it worse!
I mean no disrespect
but fervidness is vehemence,
so loses some effect.
If amorousness is forced
it’s the coarsest kind of course,
like required veneration
prone in abnegation.
Reverence must be free
to bow or bend a knee
like words of love in lines
that slant or fall in rhyme.

Even though my enemies exceeds my friends,

You may break my heart,
but you cant take away my life.
You may turn our love into the bitterness of my life,
but my loving heart you cant take.
You may cause me pain,
but you cant change the level of my resilience.
You may disrespect me,
but you cant take away my dignity.
You may humiliate me,
but you cant take away my humanity.
You may hate me,
but you cant make me to hate you.
For i am who i am,
not who your actions wants me to be.
