silence,
"That inward eye; which is the bliss of solitude . . . "
William Wordsworth, English Poet, 1770-1850
I love to be saturated in solitude,
perhaps, I am a rare bird that desires seclusion;
I seek this quietus to withdraw from worldly truths,
drowning in the peace it for a breathtaking interlude.
I need this detachment so that my pen can drip;
and all the tangled cobwebs in my mind can speak.

I viewed from afar
the things I saw
That lay in my heart
Burning star
The fire flickers
Burning star
Burning heart
I was there,
in the cold of space
My heart
Laid bare
The fire flickers...
The dying embers of my heart
Burning star
Such things,
viewed from afar
Such detachment,
burning star
The fire flickers
Burning heart
Burning star
I reached out to a star
Say what you mean
The heart quickens
The fire flickers,
from afar

on writing and words, sad,
...for Virginia Woolf
Seashells hiss her mystery, leaves
and flowers whisper her humanity,
lambent lines of plangent wisdom, stories
of charity coated with love and compassion,
poetic and rich in description.
Shackled in a masculine environment,
a room of her own
to create her ineffable prose,
a well-spring of joys and regrets.
A secluded stream disposed of her,
weighted and swirled where detachment
would no longer vex her, to heaven
that welcomed her shimmering soul,
unsoured by an unfriendly world.

break up, hope, i love you, love, missing you, passion,
Sitting at work
Thinking about all we had
Wishing I could change things
Nothing I can do but be a dork
I miss the way we used to talk
I miss just seeing her pretty face
And her smile most of all
Wishing she didn't decide to walk
Winter and it's cold as ever
The rain has stopped
But the storm has just begun
Will this be the beginning of a new endeavor?
Or is this just a short detachment?
A break for us to renew our love?
A break to strengthen out selves?
Possibly even to revitalize our commitment?
Just for now
I'm just here
Thinking of every possibility
Love would allow

devotion, loss, lost love, sad, space
Loneliness deepens throughout the night
penetrating the dark corners of my mind
tangled with the loss of togetherness
why must love be so unkind
Reaching for someone to hold onto
finding only shadows to distant to grasp
somber memories stir like a sudden storm
longings reflect on the past
When hours after twilight were cherished
quit moments two people share
feelings of devotion surround
serenity hung in the air
Now detachment stings with each heart beat
unable to find comfort of any kind
only when two hearts are reunited
a tortured soul can find peace of mind

betrayal, cry, heartbroken, loss, lost love, pain,
The sadness inside me clings to me like glue
I saw the love
I felt it
I saw the detachment
I felt it
I saw the avoidance
I felt it
but I love her
She felt it
It hurts to see it sabotage
Love
To be swiped away like a teardrop falling down
Splinter fragments of Love
Painfully Piercing my soul
A slow death comes to me
As without love
I am no more
Blackness absorbs my soul

love, lust,
Mathematics can never calculated
This is elusive, but exclusive
An unpredictable love affair
That has started an evolution
In my heart that has been
Battered and bruised
Formers squandered
My warmth....became melancholy
There was a detachment
Until we began sexing
And you made me your vixen
Out of the dusk
My physicality emerged
Because I was on the verge
Of an explosion of pruriency
And all the while, you smile
Because you brought me to
A celestial euphoria
Beyond a span and omission
I keep pinching myself
To make sure you are
Truly realistic
And not just an addition
To idolatrous statistics

environment, i love you, love hurts, nature,
Under the weeping willow,
I sit in seeping soil
on my knees
as I carve into trees,
to engrave our love naturally—
Do you do the same for me?
Under the loved leaves,
I lay in degloved detachment
upon your feet
as you attempt to leave,
to sacrifice myself indefinitely—
Do you do the same for me?

absence, age, anger, art, august, autumn, black love,
Wet curls
Begging a wish
To touch them.
But for the mist,
White wool over eyes.
We saw
The haze went up the gorge,
Stroking the pines of Mawkdok,
And desperate
To hold your hand, I
Kept the commandment.
What shall I do in heaven now
Without your moist locks?
Pears blossomed
In pure white detachment,
But you took their pictures,
And I preferred to trap
Your wayward ways in my fingers.
What shall I do with blossoms
If I can't fasten them to your hair?
Camellia flowers in flames
Burned our eyes in the evening,
The western horizon cremating the past
Where we could have been.

spiritual, truth,
Engaging in action, based on dharma,
without anticipating an outcome,
generates for the earth soul, no karma.
Such desirelessness is found quite seldom,
for all that monks yearn for, is God’s kingdom.
Looking from afar, at their detachment,
we secretly admire their contentment,
wishing that one day we too do ascend,
standing erect, blissful, luminescent
but are loathe to let go, will to love bend.

The sticky substance
Binding blinding glue
Cause of resistance
We may exit
The Maya web
By detachment
In contentment
Vaporised
We imbibe
Love current
Pure bliss

allusion,
Do you hear sighs
That channel highs?
Love waits not late
To frame true fate
Know your own heart
Where love funds art
Let ego drop
Let vain thoughts stop
Detach coarse mind
Keep love you find
Be a true light
With truth put right
Joy comes to stay
With love this day
Cheer frames your soul
Beauty lives whole
Purge wants, blur needs
Prize love's wise seed
Know less is more
Now love can spore
Do you know why
Your being cries?

courage, spiritual,
What is courage
in as an attribute
that holds us erect
in storms resolute
Courage as quality
of a doer limited
both fickle & feeble
until fear decimated
Courage then emptiness
devoid of desire & fear
a vibrant detachment
illumined vision clear
Courage in absoluteness
requires identity to vaporise
merging with oneness
no ego left to size
Courage then attributeless
there being no one here
save the throb of love divine
seeing God everywhere

Spiritual heart, deep within us glows
Oozing love divine, gentle and mellow
Recognising all souls one, none apart
Gods presence thus, higher wisdom imparts
Benedictions imbibed, in stillness slow
Negating illusions that come and go
Vibrant detachment nonchalantly flows
Save love flame eternal, all else departs
Spiritual heart
Pulse of love leads and tranquil mind follows
We rely on conscience that always knows
Our soul awakes, as bliss ignition starts
All enabled, when with ego we do part
Moment by moment, we watch our soul grow

love,
Is it not foolish
to make detachment a goal,
when both our hearts beat as one?
True it is, soul mate,
since love alone is real,
our entwinement pleases God.
