Kiss the Wind

I lay down
A lazy Sunday afternoon
The first winds from the north
Blowing snow like a blanket upon our souls

I fall asleep, in a haze of dreams
Where there she appears and forgive the obvious
The woman of my dreams
Never undressed, mind nor body

Here, in my delusion I beg for her heart
Tears roll down upon her chest
I whisper softly, tell me, tell me
You are my twin, in coldness and the dark

Entwined, we breathe slowly in silence
Words have flowed like the tears of the past
I hold on, in love, in desperation, in ecstasy
I caress her hair, and whisper be mine

Forever

Then I awoke, another sad day

Desperate (Tritina)

I wish I knew how, had ability to turn
away from you and not look back to see if it
affected you, my turning away, walking off.

I want you to miss this, and I fail to pass off
the distance as a gravely unfortunate turn
of events, see truth within desperation, it

blinds, consumes, and (I hate to, but) I admit it
impossible to justify the breaking off
of any contact to once again inward turn.

I want to reach within, find this, and turn it off.

The Jungle Book

This misty sky
a reflection of our misty life
in its sucked up, clouded vision
without any sense of perception,
its hopes, its desperation, its life,
clinging, slipping, dropping away
from view, from all of us,
droids and prefects alike,
too numerous
to see through the mess,
too brain dead to think aloud,
to escape from this sick world
of profits in money not in hope
or dreams or love or life,
created by our bosses to protect
and huddle us from the harsh
realities of unknown centuries
and create our own 'civil'isation,
our life our hopes hanging on their walls

The misty sky is all in our sight
I want to be on the star shining bright

24 Hours

24 Hours

My observations are my own,
They are a product of my realm.
I see good people reveal humanity
I feel the desperation of an innocent man
I acknowledge the appreciation of my gift
I determine narration to be lies
I witness the love between mother and son
I loathe drunk drivers
I impose pride for vinyl collection
I depict pain in my son who lost his
Brother
   Kids
     Daddy
I let the lyrics of my spinning disc alter my mood
I experience the gift of empathy to share with a friend.
I receive gratitude for guidance I give to the addicted
I witness the numbing of pain
I accept rewards for my passions
The properties of today will navigate my path in life

Desperation

Desperation
Crawled across my skin
Gouging out new scars
With it's claws of regret
And leaving fresh gaping wounds
Where the sharp teeth of despair
Sought to gnaw their way down
Into the very marrow of my bones

Of These Things I Am Sure

I do not love you by comparison.
It isn't borne of desperation, pride, or pain.
I do not need you for counsel, release.
I do not dream of you to alter you or your words.
I do not follow you because I am weak.

I follow you so that I might go too.
I dream of you, and know reality is better.
I need you because I choose to.
I love you because I do.
It's simpler.

Sparkle In Your Eyes

To see the sparkle in your eyes
A ever so magnificent ember of light in which
I am blinded in the wake...

They are perfection amongst comparison of
such others...

Eyes that reflect such transposed emotion
yet always fixed with love and devotion

Your eyes are to me what I imagine as reaching
a true state of solace

Your love always creating hope out of desperation

You are to me a great source of inspiration, always
proving your loyalty to me

We shall begin our destiny of two in love together
forever in all eternity...

Spring - You Sly Fox

Would that love’s touch return on the morrow
ease the coldness of such separation
soft kisses adrift on sunsets aglow
reflect the light of iced desperation.

Temptress or tyrant - lover’s decision
hot tempered vixen – cool, distant player
love in the distance - lust in rescission
hornswoggled by smooth, fast talking soothsayer.

Spring, you sly fox, you two timing cheat
melting the frozen, fueling sun’s blaze
announcing the offspring before lover’s meet
writing love letters in wordless essays.

Sadly the lovers cannot comprehend
Spring’s but a means – to a flowering end.

Transitions

I live in the transitions,
the time between then
and now,
the twilight and the dawn,
the rustling of leaves
as night begins,
the first breeze
of daybreak,
the moment of departure,
the time of arrival.
Once something has happened,
day has come, night is here,
you have come, you have gone,
fait accompli leaves me cold,
nothing to do, simply there.
With expectations and transitions
my blood pumps with excitement,
my brain expands to take in
everything,
and I understand
those, who in their desperation
to feel life,
provoke it.

Burning Bell

We lay flowers on the grave
never gave them to the living
we put them in fancy vases
when we finally say I love you
a sundial whispers -it's too late

You think you've mastered forever
'til forever scratches at your graying door
dreams never fly without feathers of hope
blowing away like Mojave Desert gold

Limestone hearts worn away by indifference
everybody's taking -so very little giving
everybody's sitting in the same dark cave
talking to the saddened shadows of themselves
hearing only the echo of their desperation
sliding into the mouth of the burning bell.

How do I write a love poem-POTD

When I see a beauty, a vision divine,
Love songs within me start to entwine.
Her face, a garden of blossoms in bloom,
Each petal a verse, dispelling gloom.

Her smile, a fragrance, jasmine sweet,
Enveloping senses in a fragrant retreat.
Her hair, a river, flowing so free,
In waves of grace, an enchanting spree.

Her eyes, like butterflies, dancing with light,
Captivating gazes, a mesmerizing sight.
But if my admiration goes unnoticed, alas,
Lonely songs I'll sing, hoping she'll pass.

Yet if still she remains in her distant sphere,
No desperation, for love draws near.
I'll wait for another inspiration to flow,
For in the river of time, love will grow.

Withered Rose

I left you out in the winter
watched you shiver from the cold
beauty silently fading
soon you turned the withered rose

Tears freezing as they flowed
for my love you pleaded
a face of pain and desperation
your cries I left unheeded

Now my conscience is never ending
how could i have been so cruel
my flower of beauty
I truly put an end to you

King

Cannibals gather,
for the feast of knowledge,
devouring themselves,
in games of fire & instinct.
In desperation,
lost kings search for the King,
anointed in love.
Shepard’s forked tongues,
breed wounded warriors.
Share me not in the
bounty of bitter roots,
and darkened dreams.
Cleanse me in Lamb’s blood.
Set me free. . .

Heartache

...................

Im choked up with nothing but
tears
Humiliated
as you bring to light all my fears.
I have so many thoughts but i cant
seem to speak
Desperation consumes my mind
As i search hard to find some peace
My scattered thoughts run wild
Preventing me from any sleep
So im stuck in thiss bubble ive
created
But a way out is all i seek
Filled with nothing but self inflixted
sorrow
As i acknowledge your no longer in
love with me
Constant aching
And no matter what i do
I cant escape it

The Rent of Judgement

I've traipsed down a cobble of your path.
If you're ever lost, forgotten or misstep
I'll surely spruce up a room for you.
It'll be on the mundane -humble side
but safe-warm and welcoming
like in a child's sunlit dream.
I can cloak the well-worn floor
with a pattern of your choice.
There'll be no rent (of judgement).
Only a gray shoulder to stain
with the colors of your
desperation and heaviness.

We'll whisper of the misty past
untangle the present and its jaggedness
pan the gold from the slag of tomorrow.
I'll gently lay a patch upon
that blue chip in your heart
for I love you immensely
you can stay forever if you wish
dear heart

It's Over

Petals on the floor
Two stems in a broken vase
In desperation
Drink the tears that come too late
For a rose that’s lost its bloom

Four Elements

How bottomless you are, the lonely hell,
how dark and joyless, but the love I fell
in is much deeper. Oh, four words you said
so unexpectedly that my ink bled,
four elements, four natures of despair -
the water of my tears, the smoky air
of sleeplessness, the fire in my loins,
the earth of desperation that adjoins
insanity – the words you said in lieu
of reasons to break up: "I don’t love you".
How that can be? It was just yesterday
you vowed that… I go mad, I go astray
in most abysmal precipices of
my hell in search of you, my faithless love.

The Viper

As a coiled viper strikes
without reason,
unleashing its intense venom
to its unsuspecting prey—
Shock becomes entwined
with pain in waves of desperation.
The viper,
apathetic because of its very nature,
seeks only to serve its own needs
as victims lay waste in the wake of its trails.
You, my darling, are a viper!

Would That I Had Turned

=========================

Though of my love you knew,
you did not treat it well
and cared not what befell
my soul for love of you

But careless as you grew,
the harder still I fell...

Oh, would that I had turned
away right at the start,
perhaps then to depart
with just a lesson learned

But desperation burned!
Scorched holes into my heart
Now, with this torch I'll lie
and love you till I die

Fork In Road

mixing words and rhyme , devote passion designed,
colors and shades blend , my vision I send ,a path

a mystic Irish presence , calming senses ,
whispers in ear to follow stay near, a path

all pain considered wisdom is delivered,
making the changes needed to live yet give, a path

past ,present, future fate, open the gate,
presently undecided the road divided, a path

the long destination refuse to show desperation, a path

The Enticement of Love

When the sharp addiction of love
Thrust the illuminate sense at the door of heart,
The poisonous fallen memories then
Arrive and gather all around.

When in silent cry for failure
The tear roams streaking down,
The waves of crazy love then
Stand like a peacock screening tail.

When the power of bodily sensation
Raise stimulation in every blood cell,
The dew bath white flowers then
Fall by the ruthless desperation of time.

When the strong enticement of love
Invokes romance making tune in the air,
In the unrest mind then
Is blowing wayward storm of the time.

The Pink Evening Sky

The luminous winds of the sky
are love-coated with passion.
Passion hidden in solitude,
concealed for eternity,
under heaven's rules.
The everlasting jubilation
of freedom doesn't compare
to our God-given air.
The mid-lightened setting,
of the days aftermath,
which mesmerizes many-a-people
weakened by the desperation of love.

My Sad Love

I speak sadly of your love
your love is gone,so long gone
I walk away upon my little path that
stretches through the light
they say love comes and goes away.
I wonder if that's true
I think and ponder, what did I do wrong
what went wrong.
maybe I made mistakes I shouldn't have
the desperation of your love made feel
sad
it feel like my heart has been shattered and
blended in a blender
what can I say, your is gone away
and gone it shall be..but I will never forget you

One Last Hit

Purging, surging, my body heaves
Flaying, slaying imaginary dragons
Swarming beasties inside my pores
Those nasty little invaders,
Those horrid thieves
Have infested my frail body
The one my nemesis abhors

Lurking, smirking the dark one hovers
Smiling, beguiling he offers up angels
Soothing hungry desperation
Those soft enticing creatures
Those sweet lovers
Are surging through my aching veins
Offering me brief salvation

Quivering, shivering I emerge
Bleeding, pleading for just a little more
Cravenness creatures howling echoes
The whimpering of my soul
The final dirge
My spirit joins that of angels
I leave my body to the crows
