The Memory Street Bank

I went to my memory bank to add some thoughts..
I had so many; I didn't realize how many I brought!

So, I deposited some happy memories adding more to what I had..
Using the happy ones to replace the sad..

I asked to receive a bond of friendship..
Good advice I left for a tip..

In the savings I deposited an abundance of love..
In my bank statement it read "It's worth more than the above."

Why Now

I am in your life to love you unconditionally,
Not to add bricks and mortar,
to walls around your heart,
 deposited by ignorance.
Rather,
to help tear down those walls,
so you are free,
to love again.

The Miracle of Life

many years ago,
I set a seed,
I never saw that seed,
the seed that I set,
produced in the dark,
deposited in the dark,
never to see daylight,
yet evolved and grew,
the miracle of life,
spiritual Life changer,
I am, what I am,
because I set that seed,
never regretted,
always felt privileged by
experiences encountered,
pain,sorrow, joy, elation,
delightful emotions,
all because I set that seed.

Love Is 2k13

Love is but a gift whence golden memories do
Consist of to which are often revisited.
Love is an ageless, priceless, tried-and-true,
True-blue of moral value into hearts deposited.

Love is a lifetime of actions displayed
In caring kind manner affirming it.
Love is something when genuine; undelayed
Unconditional, unselfish without quite.

Love is but a tree which shelters you and
I therefrom the nagatives of stale hatred.
Love is the conforting warmth of a hand
Unto anothers to which each sacred.

Love is a tangible shoulder which to lean
Upon therewith presance of blue woe.
Love is free, bought not by currency of green.
Love is grand and hatred its villainous foe.

Able To Again Exhale

Unearned breath is deposited in to my flesh; I am awake
my eyes are open and are able to view another day.
my limbs allow my walk without crutched assistance,
from my mouth flow my words with no hesitance.
I do not have to stress over food, clothing, or bills,
nor do i doubt any sickness I have, you will heal.
i cannot unerstand why you love me so much
i do not mean a thing without your guiding touch.

I'M Not Yours

I've deposited my heart in the bank
my cheque books' here
I'll sit here in my cottage
And wait for my benefits
While time sails
I'm over your lies
I laugh at your games
I knew it too well before
When i love love loved
And careless about myself
Now my heart is out to make profit
Here in my hand there is
A paper heart
Show me some love
Pour it upon my paper heart
If the love you profess
Is indeed true
I'm not yours, not lost in you
I lost your kisses in summer
Your presence no longer makes my heart skip

Head To Head

HEAD TO HEAD

tête-à-tête, Rita and I
two heads are better than one
in praise’n prayer
melodic lips of kin
our moms in heaven
lift
their lullaby assist
our hopes in cradled arms

we worship in different sects
but today we’re linked—
part of the extended army
no chinks in God’s armor

my people pray
carry me on my way
no demonic-dinosaur
no rattling dragon
nor human-pittance
comes in our way

they’d be destroyed
with just one thought
of hate
we love—
one heart, one Lord,
our neighbors

our differences deposited at the door
we share a smile
our gospel feet
smell rather sweet

The Pearls Within

Inside every one of us
There is a little pearl,
Deposited at birth, like genes,
To every boy and girl.

It nestles in the recesses
And all it does is wait.
Unlike the oyster’s, it won’t grow
When problems irritate.

The human pearl responds to joy
And praise, support and love.
It varies based on challenges
And those we rise above.

It’s nurtured even though most folks
Don’t know that it is there.
Perhaps such knowledge would prevent
So much of life’s despair.

That beauty tucked inside of us
Appears when it is bidden;
Yet sadly, there are many pearls
That destiny keeps hidden.

Embers

Embers glow in the soul of a man,
deposited in the heart's fathoms by the unseen hand of love.
Sorrows, life's painful gifts, can fan The Embers into holy Flame.
For some the flame grows and casts this adopted light
almost carelessly, to a dark world.
For others, these gifts bring lasting dispair,
and the The Embers glow slowly fades and dies.

Jesus Made the Worst Sacrifice

Jesus' birth was novel
All about Him was divine
He preached the gospel
For the world to be safe

On the Cross, He was nailed
With a thief, He was crucified
Like a thief, He was brutalized
Committed no sin but punished

On it, he died
In His own blood
Till the third day
And resurrected

Through him millions know God
With His name yokes get broken
He had made the worst sacrifice
His resurrection calls for celebration

Jesus neither milked His followers
Nor deposited tithe in private accounts
Owed no personal estates or cathedral
Let's lead, love and live like the Christ

Im a Crepe Myrtle

I’m a Crepe Myrtle By: Tom Wright 10-15-2019 I’m the crepe myrtle attempting to grow where I shouldn’t be. I birthed from a wind deposited seed that landed in a sidewalk crack, and lean against your porch’s rock column. I grow two feet each year and bloom hot pink. I know you love crepe myrtles because you have seventy. you cant dig me up, and I know I can’t stay. So twice, in the fall, you’ve cut me down, each spring I begin again. Call me persistent. I’ll call you sad.

Remembering Uncle Doug

REMEMBERING UNCLE DOUG:
(Written by Michelle L. LeBlanc 05/24/2025)

Your love will always be remembered
As will your heart for family & friends
Thank you for your love and kindness
And your heart to give a helping hand

Though today your ashes are buried in the soil
Your love is deposited in our hearts
And although we may not see you now
We know your spirit did not depart

And now as you join with family
Of the ones who had gone on before
You are still having your family reunions
As those relationships have been restored!
