My Pc

What a strange one, my PC, orange, gray and white. Only time she sits on me I'm downstairs at night. That's when she's my laptop. I like her, soft and fat, snuggled on me, for she's my personal (lap) cat! (This is example of 7/5 trochee and best I could do for discussing a computer. haha!!)

The Mad Secretary

THE MAD SECRETARY

Hunched over the computer, I am mystical,
With mental white gloves and a karate belt -
A daylight cursor, but on my bicycle,
A word and energy transformer, a flickering Celt.

Such metaphysics I can make into sensation,
Turned into binary formulae by the boss,
My passion is for punctuation-
But the lingua franca doesn’t give a toss.

I see the point. I accommodate the pause.
I rinse the cups and make the coffee sweet,
I am saving myself for this man of laws,
Of Brehon provenance, who will entreat

Me to be his love, his partner and co-genitor,
Of a life graph, where he can trust the monitor.

- Kiss Paper Goodbye -

An ocean of papers
         A collection of a lifetime
         It's not about love letter
         Documents and receipts
         Paper that has been yellowed
         from ancient times
         Dust dancing in the sunlight
         Everything has to be markuleres
         How many kilos
         Nobody knows
         A new generation
         Paperless society
         Computer world ~ thanks

Love For Someone,

Sorrow is my companion now,
Why do you tears your drowsy?
The happiness you have received,
The realization of the world of sorrow.

Life has listened to me,
Why do you co-exit?
Love you all,
We all hate hatred.

Sorrow is my companion now,
Why do you tears your drowsy?

Everyone broken my heart,
Why do you do me love?
Why do you want us everything?
We have given everything to us only punishment.

Sorrow is my companion now,
Why do you tears your drowsy?
The happiness you have received,
The realization of the world of sorrow.

What They Do

Carpet layers have to be on the floor
Deep sea divers love to go down
Computer gamers can't seem to stop
Taxi drivers are all over town

A dentist will do it till it hurts
A sailor sure likes a big swell
A hunter will do it with a bang
While a gymnast will dismount well

Lawyers reach into their briefs
A trash man holds on to his nose
Painters always use longer strokes
A ballerina stands on her toes

Salesmen have learned to use their mouth
While students try to use their head
The police will go on a big bust
And a maid always cleans the bed

Now and Then

Now and Then
I’m writing you in cursive script
Despite computer minded folk
And cell phones where you always spoke
You’re looking at a clock instead
All other sites are just as dead
But with my plume I let you know
So you can feel the silken flow
My passion with my written word
That you may cherish and be stirred
As in a poem you never heard
The generations have evolved
Millennials cannot recall
The time we dipped our pen in ink
and crammed our mind to send a link
To hope my words connect our troth
And love you as my solemn oath

Rest In Pieces

They once met upon a poetry site,
shared romantic words by computer light.
His poems of rose pedals and floating doves,
her verses of broken hearts and jilted love.

Those touching comments soon lit a fire,
innocent flirting now burning desire.
Their public secrets fanned the embers
and played out before all the members.

Alas unable to contain their lust,
to finally embrace became a must.
Soon they soupmailed their secret plot,
to meet in the nearest Wal-Mart lot.

What happened next no one can fix,
for her light was turned off at Motel Six.
It seems her tall dark poetic stranger,
turned out to be the "Trailer Park Strangler".

Every Day Is a Fresh Start

Every day is a fresh start, a new beginning.
We can reinvent ourselves
We can be revitalized and inspired.
We can instill hope and love in others.

Every face we make, every word we utter
Every movement of our eyes and smile
Can uplift and enthuse
We can indulge ourselves in positivity.

Each day is a new day.
Yesterday is gone; it is foolish to chase it.
Today is a blank computer page.
A canvas without Gesso.

What we decide to do today
Can make us a hero or a villain
Can uplift and inspire or bully and oppress
Let’s be revitalized and refreshed,
Let’s instill love and hope

A Table of Four

The time has finally come
I get to compose with the great ones.
I am so excited to finally meet
through more than just a computer screen.
With all the advice we shared online
to all the great writes that have been commented on.
Here I sit gathered by friends
to start a journey we did not in tend.
Poet destroyer on my right,
carries with her a pen to write
Linda Marie to my left.
Speaks with a soft elegance of love
Carol Eastman sits across from her.
releasing creative images for us to explore
With talents like ours
there's one thing left to do
write a collaborative piece for you.

It Is the Little Things

I have a postcard from my Daddy
Sent from New York City
When I was 10.

It is in a frame.
The only postcard
I have ever received
From anyone

And the only
Note I have that
Says Love Daddy

It’s in my writing
Room, above my
Writing desk,
And I treasure
It

More than the
Computer,
The keyboard,
Or anything
Else in this
Room

So you
Never
Know
Folks
Just what
Will delight
Your children

Do not hesitate
To do the
Simple things.

I am sure
My Daddy had
No idea how
Much this
Postcard
Meant.

But
I
Do

Looking For Love Electronic

Looking for love on computer lines
in the faces of many strangers
where no light of love ever shines
dancing in and out of dangers.

Looking for love electronic
manly visages on pages.
No welcome home yet in the dark,
broad range of generous ages.

Where is the man that will love me?
Where is the man that I love?
Past days romance came so easily,
like a blessing from above.

Contacts that go on forever,
anonymity, slogans and slurs.
It’s not here now and never was.
“Good day to your countenance sirs.”

The Internet Acrostic Poem

In most electronic devices
Now it's a must have
Total addiction
Every bit of information is public
Research is way faster
No one needs it
Easier way to find information, just look it up
This is the thing of the future!!!

Rain

A cloudy, gloomy, cool, rainy morning
Fresh, transparent, and sparkling,
Muddy dreams pouring and droplets springing

And all my things left in an open to get dry
Love, trust, life, joy and here is none to supply

I place not a blame
They art wet all the same
Found it interesting as a computer game
To see these teardrops of shame

Sorrow shared is half the sorrow
But I have the audacity to see tomorrow

Rain has seasons
And also reasons
To bind boundless
For with time it will be cloudless

To strengthen strongly
When the atmosphere is misty
And words exchanged wrongly

I fell in love with a computer
Not for the sex, for it is neuter
It came without name
Oh my! What a shame!
I googled one and up came Luther.

Computer Love

Type across my heart's keyboard
Harshly, you broke my keys
No repair do my intrical parts
My function will never be the same
You played me like a game
Only I remain to blame
Never again will I allow you to touch my monitor
My hard drive was corrupted in a spontaneous blur
Currently rebooting....

Tablet

teardrops appeared on my tablet
on both sides of the glass
mine on top
hers underneath,
shed from miles away

which was which
who was where
did not matter
any longer

real or virtual,
all merged into one
- a brook of joy
running through the valley of time
destined for
unchartered pleasures
