As Comfortable As Possible

Closure eludes my clasp
Love wilts, somehow lasts
The destination beyond my grasp

The dream decays day by day
Your light, which never fades
Simply stopped shinning my way

Castrating chains of second chair
Faithfull, I wither for you there
Sucking stale stagnant air

Barely beating beneath my breast
My heart, now a hospice
Gently lays it all to rest

Lightly felt faintly heard
Pumping, pain-numbing words
Its over…its over… its over

A Wind That Blows Loneliness

The wind blows softly over the lonely,
The suffering think of themselves only.
A world of chaos, racism, and turmoil,
Utmost egomanias spoil our toil.

An old man groans, no decent place to live,
Are there relatives? No comfort to give?
Blow softly oh lonely wind, they care not,
They are comfortable, and all forgot.

Somewhere a child is crying his heart out,
Can anyone guess what it's all about?
Is the child hungry, lost, or cast aside?
Much abused, ill-treated, or love denied?

There are millions of cries heard on the wind,
Alas no one bothers: is man unkind?

Comfortable Love

Some painters challenge us with art abstract
We study them and speculate intent
My love, he takes the short route; it’s a fact
He speaks three words, no question what he meant

The intellectuals look for new ways
To speak of love in words no one has heard
Or verse for songs that no one ever plays
For love is truly greater than a word

His aqua eyes convey a heart that’s true
On chilly nights, his warm arms hold me close
No words he speaks, but do not misconstrue
When love is true, who needs the grandiose

We’ve learned to find peace in the quiet time
Together any steep path we can climb

Relationships

Can a relationship last without trust,
How long will a relationship last without genuine love,
What do you see when you look into your partners' eyes,
How do you feel when they are in your arms,
Are you comfortable with your sprouse,
Do you still see the sparks when you kiss,
Feel the energy when you curl up beside each other,
Do you still play and laugh with each other,
Or is abuse slowly creeping in,
Do you still make plans talk about future events,
Don't let your relationship become a daily drag,
Trust,genuine love,comfort,communication and care,
The spieces of a great relationship,
Season your relationship well,
And enjoy a life filled with love and more love...

Friendship Vs Love

Friendship is easy to swallow But love can get stuck in your throat. Friendship is sad to lose But the loss of love leaves you hollow. Friendship makes you laugh But love is a joy to the soul. Friendship is comfortable and you feel safe But love is a dangerous place. Friendship brings you out to play in the rain But love is in bed on a rainy day. Friendship is a choice But love calls with an irresistible voice. By: Carole O'Terry Duet Copyright: 2018 "All Rights Reserved"

Self Love

Concentrate on being enough for yourself, connect with you as your own person, and learn to develop yourself, become the most beautiful version of you, one that you are comfortable with, do not worry what others are believing, do whatever it takes to make yourself happy. Go out, and be happy, go and spread your relentless love, each and every time mean a little more, say a bit more than the last time, attempt to reach out to have a positive impact on many hearts, and minds.

Pearls

I don't need to be Hemingway...
Or anyone else....
I am comfortable being me
In lust with you....

My poem of a man....
A warrior...
Speaks all I can say
to you....

Golden curls and red lips
So excite me....
In my dreams
Pearls are my gift to you
As I sleep....So loving.

My Inner Palace

welcome
to my inner palace
built in
sturdy passion
beautiful love

colorful garden
with fragrant flowers
to greet you
with my sweetest smile

strong pillars
of verses and
rhythms
created a temple of love

peaceful atmosphere
in comfortable love

Though noiseless
however
your whisphers
reached the ears of my souls

in a softest candle light dinner
patiently waiting
for your present

to enjoy your laughters
and stories

to drink
all sweet lovely tears patter

i give you
my special key called love
to welcome you
in my inner palace

Moment In Time

I look at you and I want to
hold you.
I want to hold you tight and
run my fingers through your
hair. I want to sit
behind you
as you snuggle against me and
get comfortable, as I wrap
my arms around you
and hold you
and nuzzle your neck
and nip at your ear
and lightly bite your shoulder
and kiss you
on the nape of your neck.
I want to snuggle with you to
let you know you are
safe
and wanted. That for just that
moment in time you are
Loved.
I want to hold you and caress you
and make you feel like
you are the most important
person in the world … for
you are.

Love To My Husband

I am drawn to you like
The stars to the midnight skies
The Earth to the burning sun
Water to thirsting flowers

I am comfortable with you like
An old pair of boots
A faded pair of jeans
My favorite sweater and scarf

I am at peace with you like
Sitting in a boat in the middle of a lake
Taking a walk in silence in the country
Listening to rain drops fall in the dark of night

I am alive with you
Like the laughter that is uncontrollable
The heart that goes thump, thump, thump
Running through wildflowers in the wilderness

Every ounce of my being
Mind, body and soul are riveted by you
I am alive with you, free with you,
comfortable with you I love you

My Sweetness I Miss

I miss you my sweetness,
I miss you strongly
I can't find the right words to describe it all
I feel stronger when you are around
I feel happier when you are around
I feel fear when you're not secure
I feel pain when you are in pain
I get uncomfortable when
I am not sure you are comfortable
It's complex and endless
I can't truly express it all
"I MISS YOU"

Comes the Inevitable Moment

Comes the inevitable moment to decide at last
Whether to stay or go; whether to love or hate
Whether to stand aside or bravely engage issues
To defy the odds and stand proud before the mast
To be late or early, to depend on timorous fate
Heart ripped asunder over questionable virtues.

Yea, lest anyone think fence-sitting is admirable
Or ignoring the necessities of every day’s wishes
The day arrives when we all must compensate
Stop the handwringing and become comfortable
By manning up to what life dishes.

Feeling Cozy

You don’t need a log on a fire.
You don’t need a soft sheepskin rug;
Just a comfortable place
That you’ve made your own space
And, if lucky, a smile or a hug.

Forget all those candles and dimmers
Or potpourri wafting above;
When you’re home in your nest
What most people like best
Is to know you’re surrounded by love.

I Love I Cry I Feel

Today is one of those uncertain days It depends on an unknown factor It could the happiest day of my life Or it could turn out a disaster It's not a comfortable feeling to be in And until this factor is known I'll hold my breath in great anticipation Maybe today's the day I moan I realize tomorrow will still arrive No matter how this day turns out Have the love of friends and neighbours So it'll all be okay no doubt Silly me and my sensitive nature Us men are made of steel Well this guy doesn't fit the stereotype I love, I cry, I feel

Time Non-Renewable Resource

Time a non-renewable resorce unframed
Time that slowly wears away one's bones
Takes away friends_ companions leaves alone
Soon world will forget even poems I named

So glad that into my feeble life You came
Since knowing You I have spiritually grown
Now am claimed as one of Your very own
No more in inner being bear sin's shame

Lovingly and patiently know that you are true
Even there is an accounting of number of my hairs
When in discomfort of ill-fitting shoe
You provide for me a comfortable chair

I know You unconditionally love too
And in TIME all my sorrows You will bear

Love Is Like a Comfortable Pair of Slippers

True Love is like a pair of comfortable slippers
that go together, but don't quite fit
but have room to grow and give
when their lived in.

They get worn and a bit dog eared over time
but, become so hard to throw away
because they are comfortable and familiar
They are betterl as a pair
than in their own

Lovers Fairytale

Blissful blossoms blooming
Look LUSTFUL lovers
Listless lovers looming

Krazy killer kisses
Sweltering SUMMER season
Belly breathing blouses

Bayside BEACHES burning
Winter worries wane
Glorious gracious gains

HAPPY hungry hearts
Dwellings do not depart
Picture pretty parts

Take the time to talk
Let listening lead to laughter
Commencing comfortable communications

Hurry HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Learn How To Say No

People don’t like to hear the word no
They’ll push you as far as they want
You to go. Saying no is not a crime,
People pleasing is way out of line.

It is natural to want love, and be
Accepted by all, and in a balance way.
If there comes a time when the answer
Is yes, it would be comfortable to utter
As your doing your best.

Twenty Five

Twenty-five

25 seconds: the time it
takes to fall in love….

25 minutes: into rehearsal
we have our first kiss….

25 hours: I am dreaming of
you….

25 days: I know it is just the
beginning….

25 weeks: we are having
“make up” sex….

25 months: stranded in
Tucson, I’m sling’in hash
and you.re ropin’ steers….

25 years: Best friends, still in
love, comfortable in our
own skins, at ease and
amused by each other’s
quirks.…

….shoring up each other’s
desires, choices, and
judgments, good or bad….

sustaining each other no
matter what…

loving each other no
matter why!

Untitled

Tainted love
or tired love?
Smug attitudes
and weak games
Look at you!
Your such a lame!
Me cry?! Ha! Not no more!
NOT EVER!
Five point five years
What a joke?!
All you do is lie
Keep smoking your life away!
Wake up before its too late!
Before this love turns into hate!
Your too old to act this way!
Your too comfortable
You cant stay!
In my life!
In my way!
Goodbye to you!!!

Commitment Till Death Cause the Part

Signed to dwell in a comfortable locked cage where smoke also comes out from ice; moving gradually, taking it page by page, nurture the hunger then you can eat even half cooked rice. It’s like bad costumes but in a beautiful stage or a boring occasion, well attended by funny guys. In comfort, in difficulty, in ecstasy and in rage, on each others skin, seldom disturbing as lice. A year, then some decades and the union is coming of age, but the flavor still remains, due to the preservation of its spice.

Movie Night

Popcorn popped and pop standing by your side just waiting to be devoured,
Your mate is putting in the DVD while you are waiting to watch it.

Candy and other sweets sitting on your other side already open waiting for there time,
The couch is soft and comfortable packed love and patience.

Your mate puts the movie on and comes to join you,
he puts his arm around you.

You snuggle up to him and smile,
you eat your sweets like a child.

You both get into the movie and even cry together,
you wipe his tears away and he wipes your and says, "I hope this is forever".

You smile back at him and give him a peck on the cheek,
he takes the remote and turn he movie off and takes you to the sheets.

My Comfortable Chair

Like my special comfortable chair
I'm reassured your always there
when I need you.

Providing a comfortable cushion
against harsh ravishes and rigors
of life.

My sanctuary
my my love
my heart and soul
my wife
my life.

The Kiss

In the first grade, as well as I can now recall,
I took my lovely little Bonnie by the hand
[Held it in a firm clasp, she uttered a quick gasp]
And planted a big kiss on her cheek in the hall
Regrettably a teacher saw this sweet gesture
And, an old maid, she was not so impressed at all
Clucking her tongue, then displaying a nasty frown,
In comfortable shoes standing up very tall
Blabbed to teachers what she saw all over the land
[She uttered a quick gasp, held it in a firm clasp]
Ever thereafter this young lover took the fall.
