I want a piece of chocolate cake
Oh and a delicious piece of cherry pie
I want a piece of that place called Fort Knox
With all those pieces I could afford a lot
I want a piece of that lady over there
In her haute couture she saunters with such flair
I want a piece of the clouds in the sky
I just want it, don't ask me why!
I want some tiny peace of mind
To have some pieces left to be kind
Then I can give you a piece of Art
A piece I promise comes straight from the heart

I see his smiles
His sisters laughter in the breeze
I confess a cold heart, warmed
When though will I be free?
From the pain of long ago years
From tears that soaked my humanity away
I love you all
if only I could stay
Life seems so trivial
so when I float away
who will
Blow out the candles
as cake and happiness are eaten away
ahhhhh
We never met
You and I
An war or crime or crippled thoughts
Shall never stop
The celebration of birthday dreams
Friendships never lost
The wishing well is full
Illuminated by an intrinsic brightness

food, love,
Bowled over, kneading you, feeling sub-lime
from my head tomatoes. Hear my heart beet!
Eggcited, wonton you olive the thyme.
Donut you carrot all for me at yeast?
You’re one in a melon, sweet sugar pie,
forbidden fruit I find so appeeling.
Cherry on the cake, apple of my eye.
Has there bean love? Don’t berry the feeling.
It’s a big dill and takes two to mango.
I’d sacri-rice all because you compleat me.
You oat to love me. Peas, love miso!
Just food for thought. Chew that fat with your tea.
I have so mushroom in my heart for you.
A pizza your heart? Say yes, honey - DEW!

crush, cry, romantic, sad, teen love,
You’re still here
But not physically
although you appear constantly
You’re the wish I make on stars on the long dark nights without you
You’re the candles on my cake I blow out as I wished our firefly loved still burned
You’re the wishbone pulled form the turkey I never ate to thin myself out so you’d stay
You’re the fallen eyelash from my eyes,
the same eyes that cried rivers so the idea of us would stay afloat.
You’re everywhere as every wish in every second of everyday
But no amount of wishing and hoping would ever make you stay

True Companions
There’s a finite place
in a life’s ill-defined time,
an Alice-like membrane,
if you will, when
at the instant
of passing through,
presence and absence
co-exist, life and death
are true companions.
I know a thing or two
about this side,
the presence from which
I write of
love and pain,
uncertainty,
insanity,
birthday cake with ice cream,
childhood memories,
bullies,
the touch of my lover.
My-knowing isn’t
all-knowing, of course.
Lives cross and diverge,
only to meet again at
that instant of passing-through,
bringing into question,
what’s on the other side?
Go ask Alice.
I think she’ll know.

“ I am”
I am myself the only one to see
I am so delicate and easy to break
Maybe I will be free and then I can make some cake
One day I will be far from home and free
I am so tired of being alone and in pain
I want to be thought of and held so tight
Can there just be one time where I stick up and fight?
I love to go out and just dance in the rain
As life passes by I still love to hide
I want to be able to find some love
I washed my lovely body with some Dove
When my wings fall I wont be able to fly
Sometimes all you have to do is just cry
The day will soon come when I fine my pride

lost love, love, sad, sorry, wedding
I built her a glass castle
And set her as my queen
And promised her the East and West
And e'r'thing in between.
She placed me on her white cake -
Her Golden Figurine.
It looked like I could do it,
But that's just how it seemed.
I tried to keep my promises.
I did with all my might.
But in the end I failed at that
And proved the hater's right.
The queen's still in her castle,
Her raiment's simply stunning.
She's waiting for her Charming,
But I'm not sure he's coming.

love,
Where would we be without sex
Like coffee minus the sugar and cream.
As Adam was before he knew Eve,
With no purpose to dream and scheme.
No reason for fathers and mothers,
No reason to buy flowers and candy.
No reason for diamonds and jewels;
Viagra, wine, liquor or brandy.
No reason to purchase a sports car,
A fine house, muscle shirts or a new dress.
Basically, a cake without icing,
So thank God and pray for more not less.

love,
Me and you without a clue
Of half the things that we'll go through
From early morn till late at night
Side-by-side through this life
Riding high this Tilt-A-Whirl
You will always be my girl
Up and down in and out
Both of us squarely spinning round
Clearly not a piece of cake
Making do with the desserts we make
A many-faceted diamond, rounded pearl
I'm so blessed that you're my girl
Grooming all we know with a fine-tooth comb
Then placing a bow on our happy home
It's our belief that sets us free
And I believe in you and me
Whatever goes down in this crazy world
You will always be my girl

angst, love, wedding,
This is for all the pretty girls,
with necks choked with ashen pearls,
and pricy shoes on your feet,
and pinned up golden tresses,
and virginal white dresses,
ready to make love complete.
Now when the wedding bells chime,
it will be an ideal time,
to think of the one you tossed.
The one who bled true passion
and whose love he would fashion.
The good one, whose heart was crossed.
And it is for your own sake,
when you taste that angel cake,
to think of the one not chosen.
There's a gem on your finger,
but you know something lingers,
and thoughts of me are frozen

peace, planet,
You and I, smiling together and clapping hands.
Erasing ultimatums from drifting lands.
You and I, walking and petting leaves
As together, we nurture our land and plant trees.
You and I, burying the gun and the mortar
As with genuine love, we say no to slaughter.
You and I, fairly sharing our cake fifty fifty,
As, black, Asian or Caucasian, we are but one in the holy trinity.
You and I calmly, praying on different places,
For Muslem or Christian, we are but one without traces.
And while we play, we sing "Hakuna Matata"
For in peace, we would bask just like Mandela

emotions, feelings, friendship love, how i feel, perspective, relationship, society,
I see girls send each other cards and cake,
Condolences or hugs, the sweetest rhymes,
Given as free as breath, to share or take,
True friendship’s memories of happy times.
How much is meant or lied I cannot guess,
But when men wish for kisses, ears to hear
Our dreams and heal our grief with tenderness,
We fail in finding ways to bring us near.
I see girls send each other cards and cake,
Men don’t. The very most that men will do
Is mock or give strong words. It’s our mistake
To hope the same old ways may bring us through.
Men still believe in strength, coping alone,
Deluded that a heart is made of stone.

art, beauty, nature, world,
If I was the artist
The painter
The world would be my high
Painting sheets of clouds with my brush
Like this day
The clouds would be paving a hallway for the waking sun
There would be freckles of young clouds ready to play
The world would start orange with excitement and adventure
If I was that artist
The painter
The sun would wear her sleeves high
Her sides curvy, sexy and luscious
And like this day,
The quarter moon would stay watch until the sun reached climax
There would be stripes for every tribe for harmony
And the underground, like the marble cake, would swirl in love.

Sunday Sonnet
A floating Sunday stew spells love to me
A bit of sage, and steam from rosemary,
Can you hear the sizzle and yummy call,
The smell of stewed cinnamon applies in fall.
Waiting for homemade dinner’s smells to eat,
Nap on Sunday, then pie or cake for treats,
This is what imagination’s made of,
Harmonizing in the rumble seat sun.
Savoring potatoes, tomatoes and meat,
Cream gravy that oozes, and can’t be beat,
Family humming sleepy nostalgic songs.
And I know that I am where I belong.
I am yearning for the ordinary,
Though home is not ordinary to me.

10th grade, beautiful, emotions, feelings, how i feel, love, relationship,
Love is a deep desire, a longing ache,
and a passion, oft tethered to a wish.
And like a decadent chocolate cake,
so delicious you want to lick the dish.
Love is a bond that never gets broken,
outflanking logic; it assumes control.
And stronger than any promise spoken,
born in the heart, it migrates to the soul.
Love is a highly addictive feeling;
once you have felt it, nothing else will do.
And that feeling can leave your heart reeling;
when you realize its effects on you.
Love's candle burns an ethereal flame;
within its light, there is no shame or blame.

Is this what love is

Her look is precious
Painted on her face
Icing from the cake
Toothless and hairless
She stares- mesmerized

In witches cauldron to stir
Not for death
But rather to suffer well
In this life not the afterlife
For crimes against my broken heart
that brought me to this place
I wish 7 decades of bad luck you trace
the cracks in every mirror my
heart was shattered into
And yet i love you so
And if you said i've made a grave mistake
A feast for you I'd make
In fact i'd even bake you a cake

people,
So many nice people today…so nice.
God had mercy on me, not once…thrice.
I needed that. Kindness of doctors,
Kindness in the supermarket. …and cake,
but that’s just the frosting on the top.
The supermarket worker told me
they were trying to be extra nice
to each other today…funny that!
Turns out a lady gave birth in aisle 7 or 9.
That is seventh heaven or cloud nine.
Heaven sent, all this niceness.
Hope you had a nice day today too!
Have a N I C E weekend too!
Love you Soupers!

Here goes...
she said
it loudly and
proudly:
Hello…
l`m a miss
and l miss
you inside out
Truly…
I miss you like
bees really miss
their honey
Wow…
water for my thirst
food for my hunger
scratch for my itch
Well…
want to take
to you like
duck to water
Oh…
you draw me
to you like
moth to light
Yes…
you are my cake
my cup of goodies
my hot ice-cream
Indeed…
at night my moon
daytime my sun
your love my light
Relax…
take a seat
I sold that heater
for your heat
Please…
you bathe in milk
l bask in your presence
a sublime quench
Finally…
what she did not
say is that we`re close
strangers on the net!

caregiving, family, food, for him, funny love, giggle, passion,
Today my husband said ' I can really go for some banana bread'
But this is what I made instead.
A gallon of Sweet Tea.
A bowl of Green Pea's.
Turkey Club on whole wheat followed by Smoked Meat.
Corn on the Cob along with Broccoli Raab.
Chicken Wings. Shoe Strings.
Pineapple upside down cake. A chocolate Shake.
Baked Potato served with a Stuffed Tomato
Now my husband has a belly ache.
I don't think he likes it, when I bake.

Take
a pinch
of caution.
A dash of pride.
One dollop of charm.
Add big lumps of kindness.
Mix with a sense of humour.
Throw in a large handful of love.
Blend it all together with patience.
And you will make a happy cake of life.
