Bunny

He’s a sad Bunny
With floppy ears
Sadly button eyes
they can’t shed tears

Bottom of the pile
New toys on top
He needed Beth’s help
To hippity hop

With imagination
she brought Bunny joy
He was her best friend
More than just a toy

Many years now passed
Beth searches for Bunny
A gift for her baby
who names Bunny Honey

Bunny’s happy again
That fuzzy lovely feel
Hippity hop heaven
Love makes Bunny real

Bunny’s round tail
has long been gone
But Bunny still sings
lovely bunny songs

She cuddles him close
Pets worn floppy ears
Bright Bunny button eyes
with no need of tears.

What Did I Find?

"The faces of pretty flowers will brighten anyone's day." By Poet
Today I took a walk down the street, and found a beautiful flower garden. I was in awe of the "Jewel" like flowers, some stretching their heads over the white fence. The "Gate" was open so I went in, the bunny heard me "Mutter" heavenly place. A weeping willow caught the sun in a "Shadow."

Loving Little Beautiful Bunny

"Easter is on the way. Cute and soft bunnies are what little kids are dreaming about." Quote By Poet
My best friend is my honey bunny, oh how we love to eat a pot of honey. On a bright day that is sunny, we will laugh until we have a full tummy. You are so fun and cute, even when we eat our fresh fruit. For Easter I will dress you in a suit, then to church we will be en route.

A Seasonal Review

There is a certain spot within my soul
That craves an Autumn scene
Before the Earth runs cold,
And slippers Mother Nature
In a wealth of bunny dust.

A poet needs to sing of Spring,
Once, before his book is closed;
For all the best are lionized
In bounded works of rambling prose.

The fair thee wells of Summer love
Give pause to thoughts of unplanned change,
And roots an artist's pen to scribe
The depth and breath of untold pain.

For me, the orange, gold and red
Are buffers in a life that eases
Through the Autumn's righting days,
And brings to you a willing heart
That dances as the moonlight fades.

Super, Awesome, and Grand

Rasp-rasp, rasp-rasp, the saw moves up and down;
because coffins are built better by hand.
My young daughter watches in her pink gown;
to make sure that it's right, you understand.

"It can't; it can't be a shabby old box,"
she cried out loud; "best wood, best silk, and, and;
he needs to be dressed in one of his frocks;
it has to be super awesome and grand!"

Her first small pet, Bunny, expired today.
Put in the box with love; sobbing, and tears
we'll surround it with buds, flowers; and pray;
while both stroking its soft downy big ears.

"Can we plant it now, dad?" She said with glee
"And will it grow into a rabbit tree?"

Easter Bunny of Florida

EASTER BUNNY OF FLORIDA

God sends gifts to sensitive hearts.
My grandson left his pets behind
as we travelled from familiar parts
of Georgia to Florida. God is kind.

Muffin, given the first name of Stud
by my grand’s dad. A small bunny
in the tiny yard, was the color of mud.
God’s gifts, better than money.

The cottontail posed under the palm.
My grand wanted to take Muffin home.
The rabbit was his after Easter balm.
Then away he hopped as we drove home.

Grandson returns to his bunny, Buck,
and to his feral cat, Lily, who oft’ hides
under his parents quilt, surely awestruck
at the return of their family. Love abides.

Me and My Stuffed Bunny Love

You can keep your cats and your dogs
I have a bunny love, and we are both readers.
You can keep your fish and your turtles.
We are lost in the love of each other, both leaders.

You can have your real world, it makes us both hiss.
You can keep your politics, we love our heart-felt fantasy.
We are lost in a world of make believe bliss,
We are happy and snug, and warm as can be.

My bunny and I, our books, and our window.
We stay inside snug, warming ourselves without fuss.
My bunny and I, best friends, loving each other so.
Your real ways and real things have nothing on us.

The True Meaning of Easter

The True Meaning of Easter

The true meaning of
the Easter story,
Is God’s Son came down
to Earth from glory.

Jesus really does
love you and me.
He was born to die
that you might be free.

For 33 years, he lived
among sinful men.
Then one day was to be
an atonement for our sin.

He who was born of the
virgin Mary’s womb.
Was to one day rise again
from an empty tomb.

So many people have
gotten into a habit,
of replacing Jesus
with the bunny rabbit.

So please reach out to others
and let them know,
Of the lover and redeemer
of their soul.

The true meaning of Easter
must forever be said.
Of God’s son who died,
but arose from the dead!

Nine Angels

Nine dogs in my life
Nine angels looking for love
Gently love giving.

Most dogs in my life
By passing time were stolen
Still angels of love.

In memory of Bunny, Skippy, Thor, Bush, Arnold, Thomas, Berny
and dedicated to Nicolas and Wendy

Muffin

She watched him hide his pretty wares,
When the Easter Bunny came.
And as the children ran in pairs,
She joined into the game.

Their short legs were longer than
The short ones that she wore.
For each egg going in their pans,
She found a dozen more.

We tried to take them from her and
She'd look at us and grin.
Her mouth was faster than our hands
As another egg went in.

I've had dogs that were more faithful
And superior in their size,
But at being glad and gleeful,
Happy Muffin won the prize.

Grandchildren love to hear the story
Of little Muffin and the eggs
And of how God took her up to Glory
On her little Dachshund legs.

Orphan Bunny

Orphan Bunny
with long black ears
and two button eyes
sits on our bedroom
chest
staring at the world
in wonderment

I found her
some time ago
at a tag sale
amongst once loved,
broken and then
soon to be abandoned
dolls

communicating to
each passersby
in her home made
cotton jumpsuit
made of once loved
and reused materials
in her loneliness
or was it mine

her hand sewn red
tread lips
shaped in two v
stitches for
simplify
speaks not of wars,
killings or hate
but in the silence
of
peace, love and
family
and of an orphaned
world

Butterfly On An Easter Bunny

Butterfly on An Easter Bunny

Thought that this was kind of funny;
Butterfly being on an Easter Bunny,
In backyard out on green grass;
Me by hope my love would not pass,
Who was always sweet as honey.

Jim Horn

Someone mentioned butterfly
being on an Easter bunny so
wrote this poem

Boyfriend

Baby, you remind me of a bunny,
sweet loyal and trustworthy
you always make life funny
when we're not together, i miss you badly,

you notice things no other man bothers to notice,
when i look into your blue eyes i see the true me,
my exes made me feel worthless
that's why i believe in our family,

when we speak i feel the love
when you smile at me i could swim in your dimples
our hands fit together as snug as gloves
and one hug from you makes life seem simple

I'm so happy you are my boyfriend
i never want this relationship to end.

March of the Footle - This Old Rhyme

Old Billy
Was a silly.

Owned a knife
He had a wife.

Went hunting
For Bunny Buntin.

Who ate carrots
And talking parrots.

His wife got to cooking
As he started hooking

Many big fish
For a silvery dish!

The Bride of Frankenstein

Watching dimples three piece proudly strolling past
Another judicial gladiator of theirs to mark these times ?
Silken bunny butts with pom poms short skirts a brief case
Prairie dogs circling his courthouse licking at stains from white....
Cloaks in black robes her pagans silver badge the creature takes it's stand.

Beach Life

I sat on the wall and just. Watched
My mind and eyes danced to the fore
Shore
Waves of seas and souls who pranced
Jubilant
Was my expression

As impressionistic imprints imbedded in
Mind and sand and sea
Buckets of love and sand ebbed and flowed

Feathers flew, fled, fought for disregarded chips
And lay also
Lay as unwanted knickers on the tangerine sand

It was a knickerbocker glorious day
Of ice-cream cones and cream clad skin
Of towels, flip-flops
Bunny hops
Sandy hands and castles
Surrounded by murky, frothy, salted streams

For once the sky held little
Importance as
I was far to distracted by

Says Who

One could question the Easter Bunny
Why a limerick should be funny
A rabbit egg
May pull your leg
But it can't give you love nor money!

Who’s as pretty as one would expect
She's as sweet as wildflower honey

She's the woman I highly respect

Mommy's Little Girl

You're the end of the rainbow,
My pot of gold,
You're mommy's little girl to have and to hold.
A precious gem is what you are,
You're mommy's bright and shining star.

You're the spirit of christmas,
My star on top of the christmas tree,
You're the easter bunny to daddy and me.
You're sugar,
You're spice,
You're everything nice,
Cute,
And sweet,
And funny,
And you're mommy's little girl,
Always for me to love and hold!!!

Gone By

I've been a bunny, a kitten,
a baby seal,
a hedgehog, a bear and a tiger;
but most of all I have been me.
Sleeves shredded
sunset pale,
an accessory to the main crime.
My Bonnie face
and my Clyde armour-
no murder or money
just dusty road.

All About Me

I'm cute , I'm funny ,
as sweet as a bunny ,
as pretty as pink ,
and I love my mummy .

Helpful and friendly ,
I am with everybody ,
delicate and sensitive ,
I'm mummy's little baby ...( I'm quiet grown up !)

Lovely brownish-black eyes ,
like a cloud of milk in coffee ,
in which the beauty of a good spirit lies ,
sweet and spicy as toffee ...

Black shiny hair ,
which I handle with care ,
red lips , irresistible eyes ,
in which the beauty of a good spirit lies.....
