Reflections

Old man, face wrinkled with age, moves slowly down bus, walking stick in shaky hand. Bus jolts, old man mutters. Kindly hand grabs arm. Fat lady, jolly face. Aunt Betty when he was young. Mirror reflections. Old man sits down wearily Woman in front, loaded with shopping, and two young children. One with runny nose, other chocolate covered face. Wife, children long ago. Mirror reflections. Old man gets off bus, walks down road. Lowered head, eyes sad. Places newly cut flowers by gravestones, three. Family killed in blitz. tears run down face. Mirror cracked.

Just A Couplet Of Lovers

Just A Couplet od Lovers by JTCurtis Oct 8, 2014

As I hop upon my Metaphor
I hope I still have Rhyme
I need to make the last Quatrain
Which leaves at ten 'til nine
My Haiku's waiting for me
I Lyric her so much
That I, bought a mixed bouquet for her
Of Triolets and such

A gift wrapped Box of Canzone
I know she'll like to eat
Those Blitz', Choka, Clerihew's
Are Villanelle sweet
One day I hope to buy her
A huge Diamante ring
And List forever, in a world
That's Free Verse-ever-ing

 I learned english reading
and so awed I say ah oui
as no one told me the used of such

don't get me wrong I speak perfect
the three words of I me and who are you
must share the world

mostly I listen the deluge of you know
to distill the check of bamboozle
if only you dropped the ascent

a mountain you tell me the meme of may be
a grand mother to have fun with a child
in the projects what is that an H L M

do not speak but love the matzo ball
and a perfect salsa want a tango
as the rumba clean the floor

Bekkeid

Any slide of litany,

and random errant currency,

the sleeping,

the provision and providence,

and then ...

So then there's endangerment,

and the policemen-

then there's pinnacle's of the ages of indifference...

They said in a small circular figure that this is not our place,

when it really is the only thing we love,

as a whole,

our favorites draw us in close,

yet we don't provide them with much,

just...promise.

Girl of My Dreams

The one and only girl of my dreams,
In my slumber, together forever is what it seems,
And then I awake, and now reality hits.
I feel like a quarterback that can’t escape the blitz.

Soups only for the poor

Soup is only for the poor
But seriously I want more
If only I could drink the broth
I would kill an animal, maybe a moth
I need a spoon to eat this junk
I'm in a boat, a shark hit it, now i'm sunk
I'm living on the side of the road
But I've got soup, it's not too cold
Even though it's winter
I wish I could use a dang fork
Possibly even kill someone in new york
Soup should only be given to the poor
Maybe, soon, I might score
Hopefully
Then again, I live on the street
I'm always getting beat up, always beat
That's why I need soup
Because it's for the poor.

She Hates Me

SHE HATES ME As the day claps the inception of dusk, Deep down as I can delve in the dark depth of her heart hate brews, She hates me for the love she has, She hates to know that she loves me. Like iron that spread its warmth to unfurl the furled clothes, Her hatred to me poisoned the humble sweet vase of love she carried, She hates me for the love she has, She hates to know that she loves me. As dawn bullies night dusk for filming fragrance of glow, The lady Mum battles her heart for the hate she heists for me, She hates me for the love she has, She hates to know that she loves me.

Stof

I'm offended,

unbendable,

subtle yet encouraged-

there's a place to be,

to go see-
I can and will breathe.

I am here for the crave,
and instantly a brave!

Let's let them speak because we have been drained,

the energy is proof that we stayed.

2014 and I am sorry

I'm like what's next?

I'm in the P.D.X,
so flexed-
come rain or come next,

if the weather has test,
"I say" take the heather to caress the pests-

rush in on tether's and bust up their measures,

force on them pleasures because I take care the never never and replace them with edgers...

So take out your name,

and stake out the possessed,

because what allowed us always came to be best.

Pandora of loving

Pandora of loving When you love, You hardly heed to the beckoning pain, When you love, You are clouded with the mist of the posed fantasy, When you love, You often bairn yourself to give it all, But is it a guarantee to be paid the same? Is it a sacrament of the ordain pouted love you expect? No, I don't think so, When you are in love, Wake up to avoid a broken heart, Is a Pandora of falling in love

Yesterday's Life Was All Roses And Sun

If sorrow and grief were replaced by glitz
and gladness would invite us to a waltz,
there would be lasting joy; nobody will
think of tears, of fear, of pain only of thrill;
honor peace and there won't be any blitz!

Such harmony was present in a garden
when our ancestors were without sin,
they never feared the lion and the tiger:
yesterday's life was all roses and sun!

The final threat is death, the plague that kills;
it comes at any age, at unexpected moments,
many try to defy it, but can they really trick it?
Its longevity depends mainly on self-taught
wisdom learned by living untroubled days:
yesterday's life was all roses and sun!

INNUENDO OF LOVE

I bade farewell to love with the experience with my ex
Who almost killed me with the pestering of sex
Left my past behind
As the search for love filled my mind

Then approach me an angel from above
Having the traits of a dove
Thought i had found the perfect match
As thoughts erupted in my mind to have found the biggest catch

On my breast i felt his torch
Sarcastically i said its not too much
At a stage it seemed like a rape
That moment he was more disgusting than a ape

I realised he loved to play rough
Then showed him the stuff i was made of
Pretended to give a ********
Only to bit him like an angry cub

Tuberose Tuberose

O Tuberose, Tuberose! Wherefore art thou Tuberose?

Why not be named, Mother of Roses,
for within her creation is an iradecence of pearl,
which justifies her right to be considered a pearl's mother,
so Mother of Roses, why can't it be?

For thou art a flower of all flowers and my favorite of all perfumes,
oh thou opulent essence of Ooud!
Or if thou wilt not, be sworn by my love and be my wedded flower, and the flower of my glory,
And I'll no longer love ALL fragrant white florae, only thee.

Stormy

Stormy is the sky
  Stormy is why
Why the sky is gray
Why the rain decided to come
Come to relieve all the anger in her heart
  Compelled to cry
Stormy tell my why
  Why do you cry
Sadness you always see
but.. just remember you bring the rain
that comes in the spring
  and flowers you always bring
Insane your intentions may be
  but I still love thy
Beauty you always bring
I breathe and your scent always be
There when you come
  Freshness
Cleanness
  Beauty you always are
For me, we who can really see
you for what your really are

Child of his

Keep going
Keep pushing
Pushing out the hate
Pushing out the words
Words that spit like venom
Words that roll of the tongue with ease
Ease of not thinking
Ease of hurt
Hurt is the easiest to inflict
Hurt normally goes unnoticed
Unnoticed when he doesn’t love
Unnoticed he shows me my worth
Worth nothing to him
Worth hurting his child
Child of God I am
Child of his I am not
AM
NOT!

My Share

My Share
 Author Dana Redricks
 September 13, 2014

I’ve had my share of pain.
I’ve had my moments in the rain.
 Some moments were happy,
And some were a strain on the brain.
 Rainy days will come, and
Rainy days will go, and sometimes
 Tears will flow.
It is through the trials of our
 Tears;
 The moments we’ve had.
 Throughout the years; we’ve gained
Joy from some, and we’ve learned
 From others.
 Some lessons are taught, and
 Some lessons are brought.
There will be many battle we’ll
Fight, and many battles we’ll win,
 And many battles we’ll lose
But on this day we went on
Learning how to walk, and eventually
 Gaining the strength to run.

FELT FALLING

LIKE THE SEED THAT FELL IN THE GROUND
AND CHOKED DID NOT GROW
NOR FOOD OUR WATER NOR SUN
WOULD NOURISH IT BACK TO LIFE

LIKE THE SEED THAT FELL
I HAVE FALLEN TO LEARN
AND KEEP MY SPIRITS A LIVE
I HAVE LET MY JOY BE TAKEN AWAY

LIKE THE SEED THAT HAD FALLEN
ON SOLID GROUND WITH NO MEANS
OF GROWING BUT KNOWING
TO FIGHT AND STRIVE TO SURVIVE

LIKE THE SEED THAT HAD FALLEN
SLOWLY EVOLVING IN SPIRIT AND MIND
RECONCILING WITH THE CRATER OF THE SUN
REGROWING THAT RELATION SHIP
THAT OF SOLID GROUND
WERE ALL THINGS WERE PLANTED
AND GIVEN A SECOND CHANCE

LIKE THE SEED THAT HAD FELL FALLEN
I WAS ASKED WHY DO YOU LOVE GOD
THE PERSON THAT ASKED TOLD ME GOD TOUCHED ME
