Beltane Night (Pantoum)

We'll raise the flames of Beltane night,
in song and dance we'll celebrate,
espoused by fires in Pagan rite,
our god and goddess incarnate.

In song and dance we'll celebrate
among the flames of love's desire
our god and goddess incarnate,
my promise made beside the fire.

Among the flames of love's desire
a heart and soul have been declared
my promise made beside the fire,
and now my life with you is shared.

A heart and soul have been declared
to you my love, my Queen of May
and now my life with you is shared
as we unite upon this day.

To you my love, my Queen of May
espoused by fires in Pagan rite
as we unite upon this day,
we'll raise the flames of Beltane night.

Cordelia Celtic Fairy Goddess

told me today to rest
and have more play
Beltane may be her day
yet called upon
she'll thaw your lil feelin's
like our alice in wonderland
embarrassed and bewildered
there's nothing to be done
love love love love love the best I can
not to be cold judge
thanks for the reminder
I'm 'posed to be the
grown up here
life experience to share
but only when asked, duh
kiss kiss hug hug

(think this is supposed be rap?!??!!)

Beltane's Passion

The Goddess and God are handfasted as one.
Before our Sabbot of Beltane is truly done.
The theme is unity - the emotion is love.
As they join us from their home up above.

Bringing people together who were once alone.
The warmth of our fire sets the tone.
Open your heart and your feelings too.
The time is now - for love you're due!

Feasting, laughter, and yes - there's romance.
Grabbing your partner for a quick dance.
Bonding together in heart and song.
Striving to help each other along.

Making your wishes as you jump the balefire.
Thinking only of your hearts true desire.
Joining together in this same fashion.
Every year - to celebrate Beltane's Passion!

Irish Cycle

I often saw a shamrock
in the green beneath her eye
although she wasn't lucky
when my whiskey made her cry.

She chased me through the springtime
and I held her love so bold
we drank the autumn colors
so the bards have all been told.

The Beltane fires would cast her
shadow up to kiss the sky
with the oak and holly's laughter
where the God's and love won't die.

The Lost Friend

I lost a friend the other day.
By doing her job - she send me away.
Shocked, confused, my mind full of anger.
How seriously close was I to danger?

I kept to myself thinking this was best.
To her now I'd seem just a pest.
She's probably moved on, she's not to blame.
And for my actions - I felt only shame.

On our Sabbot of Beltane we celebrated love.
I thought again of my friend on the ladder above.
After al that has happened - does she think of me too?
Would she accept me back now - well would you?

Two Fires

Some feel the Holy Spirit
as the fire of the soul.
Some who have NO spirit
might feel a vacant hole.

Perhaps a little devilish
they like to play a bit.
They might light fires in Beltane -
and a “festival” call it.

It seems such ancient rituals
go on and on and on,
which fire seems eternal
since before the Christians’ dawn.

But we can be assured
there is but one good fire.
Not the one who evil love,
but the one who Christ desire.
