Butterfly

If I were a butterfly
would you love me more?
would you treat me delicately?
look deep into my core?

If I were a butterfly
would you let me land
on the tip of your finger
or let me play upon the sand?

If I were a butterfly
would you be gentle and nice?
breathe softly upon me
and kiss me lightly thrice?

If I were a butterfly,
alas I'd fly away
for staying with you, darling
there's quite a lot to pay.

If I were a butterfly
I'd rather my soul be free
Never tied to slavery
paying you too high a fee.

Yet if I were a butterfly
would you fly away with me?
Or always unfaithful, would you
fly away with a bumble bee?

Living In Your Dream

Floating across rivers, valleys, and streams I'm thinking of living inside of your dreams Run barefoot through nature, you chasing me End up tripping and falling in love by the sea We're two eagles that fly, soaring high in the sky Let the wind take our bodies, as life passes on by You're a delicate flower, I'm a young honey bee Sucking your nectar and starting a new family tree Sliding down rainbows after a warm springtime mist Laughter and giggles when on your cheek I plant my kiss Your dream will not end having me inside you Our days will get brighter and our night times will too

Finding the One

to find one's soulmate
one needs to listen to their heart

some set out for the big quest
the truth is your soulmate is nearby

your mate’s destiny is to find you
strange how serendipity works

while you keep busy being
the best person you can become

your soulmate will hover around you
like a bee to a flower

it will happen when you least expect it
when you're at peace within

you’ll recognize your soulmate
you just need to listen with your heart

Poetess

i am the twisted sister of a twister
lava lady just learning to boil
my words erupt
yes they are mine
no matter the language
age or blasphemy
i will bid and they will obey

the garnet blood of passion
be it love or otherwise
will spread its intoxicating infusion
to heat the feeble mind to intensities
that will make the priest weep in his vows
and down in the dives where the hip grinding
sweat soaking miasma of lust cradles
blues will be reborn

I am the queen bee dripping with honeyed pearls
she who scratches with a stick in mud
plays keys full of white lightening
here to spread sweet hot spice
on a gray woolsock world.

Stars of Clarity

The perfect poem goes something like this – Feeling stings, like a bee Quick as a tear Just as abruptly as a star’s glowing A whisper, a sigh, a stirring – Stars of Clarity… What it means to truly see beyond The grief, the longing, the all-consuming Passion! The perfect poem is any poem that bleeds, Not just ink But light, laughter, love Signs of life beneath layers of words!

My Garden and the Spring

It is spring in my garden
roses are blooming
cuckoos are crying
The winter has been passed
summer is coming
It is so easy to write a poem in the spring
when the river flows gently to the sea
when the sakura shines
in the moonlit night.
Honey-bee dances in my garden
because it is spring
Flowers spreading sweet smell
in the cloudless blue sky
Could you imagine a garden
in the moonlit night of a spring
It can make a poem of love
It can open all the windows of your mind

Rhymed Haiku

humble bumble bee
brings pollen from apple tree
to make his honey

he feeds his loved queen
to protect her he gets mean
his stings aren’t funny

a hive is his home
he fills it with honeycomb
for love not money

Gaia

Walk outside
open your eyes
leave yourself behind
and take in what your mother is giving you freely -

have a look at that flower
notice the symmetry of it all
a perfect mandala
a reflection of your mother's divine nature and love for u

notice the bee that lands gently upon the flower
collecting pollen in it's saddlebags on it's furry black legs
as it flits in natures dance from flower to flower
collecting gathering being a part of the cycle of life -

this is an amazing planet
full of beauty
overflowing with love
our home
mine
and
yours.

Honey Bee

Honey Bee Honey Bee bring
by your charm. Your sweet
warmth from your swarm.
Makes us some honey as
sweet as a flower. Pile the
hive full in your golden tower.
Pancakes and muffins, and
French toast. A million ways to
eat it, I think I love your sweet
honey, the most.

Honey Bee Honey Bee I hope
you will always want to be here.
I will wait for you with my plate
and fork and a smile full of cheer.
I'll guard and protect you as you
weave and I hope you never ever
want to leave.

Committment

Like a stigma waiting for the pollen
Like nectar waiting for the bee
Like groom longing while in heaven
My love, I wait for thee

Like the crop yearning for gentle rain
Like waves longing for the shore
Like love longing for summer O again
My love, I long for you more

And I have felt the harrows of doubt
And tasted gall in glass of trust
And sipped not from the wine of mouth
My love, for logic is not in lust

But patient like the moon I do remain
By no storm to lose my course
I circle one star, to one planet pertain
My love and all its intercourse.

I Traipse Across Your Page

I traipse across your page dining on the inflection amid reflection and amorous dalliance diluting my soul ever so slowly dipping my fingers into you the scent of sentiment I'm not like the bee, the butterflies or the bear searching for honey I'm a string strung out for all to see wrapping the bits around my finger each loop a perfect memory meant to last a lifetime dip me in holy waters cross my heart and kiss my sky there's no fraying or temptation just freedom in the feeling I shall wander in your eye

My Queen Bee

My Queen Bee

I have a castle of love for u,
Build with countless pride.
Sweet, glorious,
Drops of beautiful,
Pansy, julie shining bright.
I can work all day night,
Just remain by my side.
You are My Queen,
Lovely my Queen,
Ruling entire tribe.
Your eyes melts me
Touch blends me
Sleeking,
To next high.
My Queen Bee,
All I needed is,
Grow old by your side.

Spring Love

A fervent fairy
In romantic dream
Holds a watering
Can, flitting over
Her daisy sweetheart.

Morning sunlight
Obscure bee whirs,
Round fair-haired face
Tease twinkle toes.

Mice clamor,
Hedgehog rolls
Heather blooms.

Weaving
Spider

Hides.

Butterfly Love

I was a rose to
    a butterfly love so brief
Does he recall me? I hope

        Like a honey bee
I sipped his love. Where is he?
He lives in my poetry

A Bee Came Buzzing

A bee came buzzing too soon, too soon
The season is not yet in its June
The sap must rise to the breast of the moon
And roots must lust for the earth in ruin

I am planting in September rain
When the ice winds come shall this remain
Shall sow my love to earth in vain
Shall the winter's cross bring me pain

The bee does not hesitate, in faith
It buzzes to find the flower, and wait
Enshrine in dazzling dance, in spate
With the autumn's fruitful date

O but the barren glade is bare, is bare
Except for concrete everywhere
Shall bowers green brim again here
And the bee brims with honey from my darling dear?

Suite Seasons

Oh Sweet Seasons,
          Return to me

 Bring back the summers
          of love in the sand
 of champagne moons
          and dancing in the sun

 Send me your autumns
         on apple cider breeze
and nature’s confetti
         of auburn and gold

 Frost me in winters
         with marshmallow mountains
 warmed by hot chocolate
         and pine coned embers

 Then let life renew
         oh sweet seasons of spring
with lilac memories
         and honey bee serenade

Prisoner

I don't believe in getting angry
and arguing over things
yet there are people who do sadly
as does a bee that stings

why can't people be friends
and love as the Bible says
instead a relationship ends
tis what it does

are we doomed to this behavior
or will it one day lend
finding success and not failure
in the message we send

weary as I walk alone
in my reasoning
though heavy I carry the stone
tired as I'm weakening

soon strength I'll regain
as time passes through
and joy will remain
for now my time is due

We Knock Off Books

We knock off books, it’s what we do. We knock off books, so librarian, Kit Mew will have to put them back, you see, We turned Kit Mew, into a busy bee. We knock off books, to irritate; we knock off books, till very late. Kit Mew hates mice but, she won’t catch us; we hide in the walls and we’re always above. We knock off books, we make a mess; Old Kit Mew can’t pass our tests. because all of the books we knock off shelves, we always love to, read ourselves. Hey Kit, Hey Mew There’s just us two. Two mice who like to aggri-va-a-a-te you. C’mon Kit Mew, just put them back, don’t give us any Meow’y flack.

June

No more school, I sleep till noon,
Oh, how much I love you, June!
In the garden, I smell roses perfume
Oh, how much I love you, June!
Butterflies and a small bee,
everywhere are following me.
I play hide and seek with the sun,
Everything I do is fun.
I can fly my kite so high,
Next to airplanes in the sky,
I’ll go fishing, ride my bike,
I will do all that I like.
I’ll go to the pool, a lot
June is perfect, not too hot.
Oh, and the ice cream…chocolate, fudge,
June's the best! You be the judge,
I will meet with cousins, friends,
I hope the summer never ends.

Spring

The bee is a-buzzing~
a sweeter time of year –
for the hive is a-growing,
has to be dearly fed, as
the queen was off a-queening
had taken fond drones
to her sultry bed –

flowers, all-efficient,
the earth's blushing, reddening
ripening fertile ways –

Spring giving all colorful
blaze, warmly enticing
brightly dutifully tinting
adding uplifting expression
to
earth's
cold
drab
definitely
needing
inspiring
far too
dispassionate
winter
phase.

Little Bee

I've been given a fancy name for my illness
Clinically obese
It may be contagious
Never before seen in my colony
I can't work or lift a finger
Nice to see every one rally around me
Even the queen bee is worried
As what happened to me
Even sent the worker bees
All for one, hopefully one for all
Giving me a hand
I'm going to a special unit for unique bees.

Laugh-Out-Loud

Always find things to laugh about,
Laughing makes us stress free,
Nice things are not always, the first that we see,
So lots of time,we tap into great memories,
Remember when you fell from your bike or a tree,
Got bit by a bee or bullied by Tommy,
Running to the house, screaming daddy or mommy,
Sorry my child,a comforting hug,
Soothing the pain,with parents love,
They ruffled your hair a pat on the back,
Got it dressed and then a snack,
Now smile or laugh at the thought,
How sad things of the past, now makes us laugh.....
