Basketball Lifestyle

Basketball
It's not a sport
It's a lifestyle
No one understands
What it means to play it
Not for the money
Not for the fame
But the love for the game
Basketball
Not a sport
It's a lifestyle

Sorry

"Sorry" doesn't cut it.
Well neither does a butter knife.
I guess I'll have to say "sorry"
For being in your life.
"Sorry" for being black.
And doing what i do best.
Like RAP, BASKETBALL and SWEAT.
Instead of studying for a test.
"Sorry" for being imperfect
"Sorry" for getting sick
"Sorry" for being a man
"Sorry" for makin' you tick
There are some things you cannot change
Like color and heredity.
There's one thing I forgot to say.
"Sorry" for bein' me.

**************
This is sort of a sarcastic poem. I love me. :)

There's a Sport For Everyone

"There's a Sport for Everyone" is a children's song, sung to the tune of "The Farmer
in the Dell".

There's a sport for everyone,
There's a sport for everyone-
Baseball, soccer, basketball;
Sports are so much fun!

Bonus activity: Ask each child which sports they participate in or would like to try.
Explain that there is a sport for everyone, no matter your physical capabilities. Some
sports like English horseback riding may require more mental skills than physical. Tell
children, "If you try a variety of sports, you're sure to find one you love!"

Lovers' Moon

Oh,, this is gonna be the night
Feelin’ the warmth of this incredible sight..
I will love you with all my might.
Holdin’ you in my arms so tight..

My lips run into your neck..
And I whisper in your ears
“Let’s make love in the full moonlight”…
Let’s make a night…

Sweet, gentle breeze touches our skin
We are dancing to the rhythm of love
Let me be the one tonight
Who will embrace you so tight

Let’s make love in the moonlight
Let the swaying leaves be the witness
Of this sweet love we have
Let the soft, gentle wind touch our skin..

Let’s make love tonight..

Mystical Moonlight

MYSTCAL MOONLIGHT Intoxicating, breathtaking. Silvery foreshadows of innocence  The birthplace of my poetry. It's starlight, of tides and times. Moonlight and God are spinning The perfect poetic chrysalis, Of dreams and peace. As His existence always is. Above the clouds He does not sleep. But love and miracles does He keep. Alas, to many, He is but a joke. Lonely, ill and confused, they grumble, Deaf to His help and eternal whisperings, The Creator of this universe and our eternal King, 12/11/2020

Ode To Basketball

Defending, passing, and shooting the ball,
The girls on my team are really tall.
I try to give my very best,
And it always seems to really impress.

The sound of squeaky shoes draws near.
We make a shot and fans start to cheer.
I dribble the ball in my hand.
My team runs the play just as planned.

The game is tied with seconds to go,
But we won by making the last free throw.
My love of the game is very strong.
The basketball court is where I belong.

The Game

The game is his friend.
Always there for him.
Never turning him away.
Inviting him to visit
And giving him the
Best seat in the house.
In front of the screen.

It is his sport.
Replacing baseball, football,
Basketball and all others.
It lets him score
And makes him feel
Like a winner.
Like a champion!

The game is his sustenance,
Feeding his thoughts,
Shaping his soul,
Controlling his mind,
Closing the door to family.
To intervention.
To the world.

Anger grows behind
Raised brows and widened eyes.
Desensitizing him.
Honing his skills and
Numbing his feelings.
Making him blind to life.
Making death easy.

Without compassion,
Without love.

"a Trip Down Memory Lane"

Coors Lite, Food Fight,
My bros dirt bike, and kisses good night,
Orangutan Sex, "I give it a ten"
Billy Bob and Bacon, his little pig friend.
In the dark playin' basketball,
Don't forget about Niagra Falls.
What kind of hips do you want?
It seems we can't agree,
Candy Shop, PDA, A BIG mouthful of me.
Varsity Blues, The "I Love You's"
Makin' Cookies that look like pancakes,
But all of these things just lead to a heartbreak.

This poem is for Terry Bell!
He was my first "true love".
We aren't together now,
But I still Love him.
Let's face it...
I ALWAYS will!

Complicated Love- From Kishiea Davis

Love can be complicated

Like a disarranged puzzle that is passed by daily

No one bothers to put the broken pieces together

All alone, waiting for that special touch

To embrace each piece with gentleness and care

When that special mind that longs to complete and discover the beautiful image

That no one has yet to bring to fruition

The smile that can be seen through the eyes which sees all the perfect imperfections

Making the puzzle so unique and dope its own way

Far from any other puzzle

Challenges unraveling this particular artwork

The optimistic mind brought to life

Which makes the appreciation last forever

Love

Complicated, yet worth the wait

Return of Your King

Reflections of imperfections have shown me a way that I can move mountains through my power of faith even though I can't see him I know he is real through the power of prayer and a Love that I feel It's growing inside me like a flower in bloom shall I reveal my powers or is it too soon I am reading the signs through my darkness I find a reason for belief in the light of mankind that I know shall overcome the greatest of odds the Love I seek amazes me especially through the flaws because now I am inspired through the hero's that bring my throne through the darkness on which I return on as your King.

I Wrote This In High School

this place, my sanctuary, my domain.
there's no other place i'd rather be,
than here playing the game.
love the sound of the net, when the ball hits.....
and the feel of the ball within my grip.

this place, my sanctuary, my domain.
forever for this place, i will feel the same.
want to be here and only here.....
stepping out on that floor
with no pain nor fear...

love the sound of the ball beating on the floor
and the screams of the crowd when my three pointer soars....
forever for this place i will feel the same.....
there's no other love like the love i have for this game...

Love and Pricks

I Love the elderly so full of history I love my generation who kept me a mystery I love the children who's future, now bright for I have died for them to capture the light for i understand pain more than ever once I released it the anger got better as it went away from the people and into my music without a single reason to prove it without a reason to let Love's light in I didn't, it found me and lesser I sin God and my father both let me know it would all be okay so very long ago even tho the road would be full of pricks even back then I'd tell them you can all suck my dick. -Bj Fard

The Play Is Made

Oh, how I love a good game; I anxiously await my turn, And then I make my play. I also love a good play; Good scripts, for which I’m always game; Stories with a good turn. When the tides of stories turn, It just makes the play Afterwards, for coffee I’m game. On weekends, I love a good poker game; it’s a game that can quickly turn on a wrong play.

Things I Know I'Ll Never Do

things I know I’ll never do

I’ll never ride the winning horse in the Kentucky Derby
I’ll never throw a winning touchdown
I’ll never swim the fastest race
but I’ll always love you

I’ll never win a boxing match
I’ll never dunk a basketball to win the game
I’ll never run the fastest mile
but I’ll always love you

I’ll never be a great baseball player
I’ll never score the winning goal
I’ll never ski a downhill race
but I’ll always love you

even though those things I’ll never do
I’ll always love you
I’ve achieved so much more in my life
no one else can say you are their wife
I am the winner of my life

'could'Ve Been

‘Could’ve Been

It could have been us
Celebrating 10th month’s anniversary;
Not that it’s a complaint,
But a reminder in a bragging tone.

It could have been us
Laying on a 2m hostel single bed;
Fighting for one pillow,
In a cold night of July.

It could have been us
Playing basketball Sunday evening;
On a rough outdoor court,
With rules of our own.

It could have been us
Exchanging jerseys on sun dawn;
Watching the sunset,
Talking dirty in love language.

It could have been us
If not for your boldness;
That intimidates my manhood,
Pushing me into loving a stranger.

On a Back Road Again

On A Back Road Again

Have been on a back road again
While I cannot remember when;
God created great girl for me
And sure was such a sight to see.

Soon back road reached its end
So this letter to her will send;
Remember guitar I once had,
Lost it one day and am so sad.

Reminds me of my love I lost
Around by her was being bossed;
She never wanted to be my wife
Went out and took her own life.

How I wish it never did occur;
It was I who God made for her,
And am now unhappy every day
Now that she has passed away.

Thongs On Fire and Other Storys

my thong is on fire
i'm up for hire
but no one will
so i started selling pills
i needed the cash
but then somebody found my stash
it wasn't even drugs just mashed up smarties
so no one's gonna be getting high at their parties
this life is just way to sad
that's why i decided to move in with my dad.

The Boy Next Door To the Man I Adore

The sun radiates my face
when I think of the place
the boy next door
the silly smile on his face
the jersey he wore
on the basketball court
to his tight fitting pants
as we danced on the floor
the finest looking brother
a true friend, not my lover
my mind often wondered
as we became less younger
like the forbidden fruit
we have love for one another
and every so often
paths do cross
that man in the suit
I knew would be you
the boy next door
to the man I adore
a man of decision
that towers with vision
the oldest of three brothers
has the walk of his father
and as each time we met
his vision had grown taller.

Love In a Name

Love in a Name.

Crystal Falls, I saw this name on the net
I could so easily fall in love with a woman like her
Her name has so many possibilities a song
Or a dramatic love story that ends in loss of love
She will forever be a song in my heart even if
She left me with a man with diamond studded yacht
Crystal Falls know diamonds are forever
Love is a sunny day in winter land.
Why did people, tell me she is an ambassador for
A club of people who like dining at fancy restaurants.

Her nom de guerre is Crystal Fall; her real name is
Johana Solar how can I love a name so unmusical
A vase dropped to the ground it was made of mineral
 Shards of broken love.

The Journey

The journey to success has no shortcut
Although things may seem difficult
There’s always a path
Within the depths of the aftermath
Life gives everyone a chance
Its up to you to take it and advance
Everyone is born with some sort of intelligence
Sometimes you just need confidence
And a little persistence
To bring your goals into existence
And when you discover your talent
Learn to stop being absent
And live your life fully in the present

Poem 2 You

If I had to live a day without you in my life
it would be like Living without the warmth of the Golden sunshine and light,
It would always be a rainy day without you

Blue skies that are clear and bright
Would be out of sight only
Grey clouds and storms in view
Without a dear and special friend like you.
A colourful and cheerful rainbow
Would simply not exist if you were not
Apart of my life.

You Bring me Laughter, Sunshine,
Warmth and Light making my
Life a pleasure and Real Delight adding sunny
Happy hours and filling all my days
With warm hot rays of summer sunshine and showers of love and
Friendship Divine
I want you in my Life Always.

Will Not Make Me Fall

You can crush me, beat me, call me out name
The same fact remain, that I will stay the same
You can cheat, trick, remain to call me a *****
But in my heart I will remain rich
You can bounce me around like basketball
But you will not make me fall
