Celeste Romance

I gaze at those fireflies in
your butter-sweet eyes that shine,
succulent with white lush pulp
of love's purity,

you hue my wildflower heart
with hyacinth, as we twirl
like spring-shaded tulips in
life's regal-black psalms;

mon cherie, I wish for stars
to sequin your shimmering
wine soul and cradle comets
of faith in your fate,

as, rubies glazed with honeyed
hibiscus and nectarine
daisies will be my pink muse,
forevermore true;

afterlife shall foretell our
lavender soliloquy
of celeste romance, whipped in
soft beige affection,

and your coral spirit will
eternally emphasise
cherry letters as tokens
of swan-shaped twin flames.

Found At Last

FOUND AT LAST
.

Heading into the light of the infinity mass.
Thrills over a new breath, a shining smile made out of brass

Wondering if my energy will ever dissolve?
A slipknot tied on the world where we revolve.

Sublime in to a new kind of contrast.
A fate ending better than worse, no longer an outcast.

Appearing with TRONS no one solves.
Beyond and under where life really evolves.

Once death takes a toll real love will be found at last.
An afterlife so profound waiting~alas~alas!

Raven Made Her Choice

Perched upon his resting place, Raven made her call She planned to join her lover, using powder and a ball Gazing at the markers where the predeceased were laid She watched her namesake circle, and heard his woeful voice, Then mused the circumstances that took her partner’s life. Could sacrifice unite them? Is there an afterlife? And listening to the chilling call, Raven made her choice. For ~~A Rambling Poet~~ and the contest: Among The Dead by Ray Dillard

Goodbye

I say farewell to you
because I never knew
my time would come soon
like the waning of the moon
your eyes filled with tears,
your hands holding mine,
I feel the love and pain
for years it had only been in vain
because I will be gone for once and all.
but you always wanted me by your side
as the girl whom you loved the most.
'O mother' do not weep!
and 'O mother' do not curse!
My day has come, it's time to part
bless me for the afterlife.
Though I die now,
I live forever in your heart!

The Tree and the Trigger

When you pulled the trigger
you came to me and tried to love me
ask my forgiveness,
it made me cry, it was so cold
I shook with your suffering
I drew you in the afterlife
alone and crying with gods light
asking you to come
Your remorse,
your shame, a mistake,
you had so much to give
i painted two trees
one that was dying
the other was dead
the tree loved you
amd misses you still

Golden Crowns

When words fail to express
or vocally tell you
how a person feels held
deeply inside the knotts

Those softly mesmerising eyes
dawning in the afterlife
sweetly startling your music
begins to play upon lips

Angel silently calling
enchanting whispers echo
as the heartbeats thump life
hypnotic breathless sighs

As a pulse races quicksand
under the surface unveils
you will find me holding
forever at night love

Daybreaks warmly comforting
my precious dream awakens
I melt into the clouds
were it smiles with a rays

Light transmitting signals burn
kissing the colours of sunrise
where my love for you ruby
can neither be measured or bought

I Love Everyone

I love everyone
with joy,
I love someone
with truth
I love and love
exist...
I love the day,
love the night,
I love the weather
and its
against times ...
Love the life
that perceive,
I love the afterlife
I wonder why
I love the future ...
I love what I am,
I love what I will be,
I love where I'm going,
love to be real,
I love without harm,
I love what sustains me,
I love what encourages me and
beloved...
I love the beauty after all, the ugly
normal or abnormal ...
I love so because
love me, and i love the love ...!

On True Love

Searching for Love must be the most exploited trail, The theme of almost every song, play, fairy tale. Love’s shining lodestar we relentlessly pursue, Doubting repeatedly whether or not it’s true. The question “what is love” we don’t cease to inquire- Is there an afterlife to physical desire? What stimulates the mind? And what warms up the heart? What binds forever? And what pushes us apart? Is there a deeper sense, we delve to understand, Beyond Love’s magic spell, bestowed on humankind ?! I doubt we would relentlessly pursue, If Love, we hope and long for, weren’t true! Clouded Love Slam

A hex,
A spell of dark magic
In witches cauldron to stir

Not for death
But rather to suffer well

In this life not the afterlife

For crimes against my broken heart
that brought me to this place

I wish 7 decades of bad luck you trace
the cracks in every mirror my
heart was shattered into

And yet i love you so

And if you said i've made a grave mistake

A feast for you I'd make

In fact i'd even bake you a cake

Breathe

Breathe i breathless.
Sleeping in a nightmare of unseen loveliness.
Restless in my mind and body.
Through a tunnel of devastating reckoning.

Crying sound of a wounded ostrich.
The echo of a oceanwaves demolishing sea afterlife.
My feminist touches cursed.
His enduring love of a dying poetical.
He dies in his lust of pleasure.

Happy Birthday To Me

A fresh new birth has come again,
I still have got more in life to gain,
Memories of joy filled in my brain,
Been through downs 'n' mountain,
But I deserve happiness not pain.

It's yet another birthday without a wife,
To lift me up to the heights of joyful life,
Sitting down while holding my penknife,
Always busy thinking about my afterlife,
With less time to spend on my social life.

Can't believe that today is my birthday,
I have set date nineteen as my holiday,
Feels like a weekend but its a weekday,
Maybe because a star sparkled today,
Being born in the month of June not May.

Love Does Not Die

Life - a mere whisper in eternity
    Bitter taste tonight of melancholy
Dew on rose petals leaving me thirsty
For nostalgic notes of music folly
And tender dreams under Christmas holly

When feelings run as deep - love does not die
‘Tis no more than a momentary goodbye
As love for you flutters in afterlife
On beautiful wings of a butterfly
In the mystical garden of your life

Across Realms

There are some times I look up at the sky. I wonder if other planets there might be with other humans (same as you and I) living there. Things like this fascinate me. Do I myself perhaps exist inside a faraway place parallel to mine? Is there a man for whom I was a bride where our lives were once able to entwine? I know there is an afterlife, but might there be other spheres also to explore? What if I should die on some starry night and across realms - with the man I adore - awaken! Oh, could I reincarnate eventually to find my soul mate? May 5, 2023 For Pick-A-Title, Vol 36 - Poetry Contest Sponsor: Edward Ibeh

Our Love

I love you
and that will
never change.

Even though
we'll age, not
our love.

From the moment
that I've held you
in my arms...

I've treasured you,
I've loved you.

What we share
could never die,
I will love you all
my life.

The tenderness of
your kiss, blooms
like a sunflower in
the sun.

You're my only love.

I wanna grow old
with you, spend
an eternity making
love to you.

Be your quiet storm,
the one that'll keep
you warm.

I wanna breathe you,
be your night and day.

Our love will remain,
even in the afterlife...

A continued romance
that'll last throughout
time.

Afterlife

I tell you that I love you, yet you never say it back, When I look at you you glare through me as if I were a piece of glass.

Everyone is different now, My cell never rings, No one pays me a visit, Why doesn't anyone acknowledge my sound ?

A year has passed but still no change, My spouse now belongs to another, The friends I once had now hang out with others.

Why am I going through this ? What have I done ? I had many friendships and family now I have none.

I walk through a Cemetery my stomach gets a knot, I look down and notice a plot. My name engraved in stone. I was 6 feet under, I never realized that I was gone. ™©

Thirst

Thirst
Dried saliva
Spirit returned to the former old self
Cracks in the tongue
I become like a corpse
Heavy sweat
Dug in the dirt to find water
If this torment
Not Changing, O God
For your mercy in the afterlife
***
Groans graduated from internal
Screams above the sound of silence
If wrote that me death
Paradise is my resting place
My eyes looking to the clouds
Just I found shadow Darling
She was waiting
At sunset time
to Underestimate my fears
When I woke up... found just a dream

The Afterlife

My life, or should I put it my death
Will be a new start for my breath
We live to die so they say
We can die almost any day
I believe we go to another location
Somewhere where we are on vacation
Out beyond our lives here
Still near those we care
I look forward to my next life
Where I can live better free of strife
Love will abound here freely
And fellowship is easy agreeably
I will have a pure heart
Deep inside the afterlife’s start
Forever will be my time here
To hold great pleasure’s share

Mother's Day

As the dew of dawn you would appear.
Radiance and warmth is in thy aura.
The sun vowed never to disappear.
Moments away from thy, meant an era.

To gather flowers and freebies brought,
Alas, a mere day of year devoted to thy.
Racks fill with old lines said in thy thought.
But thy timeless devotion bears the mockery.

For soothing pain is where you’re concerned.
God made you such to see here no penance.
In thy move is selflessness discerned;
Unconditional love is thy tendance.

Forgive me, to be bound in the trend of life
Knowing well that at the end there’s my turn.
To fix horizon in hope for afterlife
To embrace, with heart that in longings burn.

Tsunami

Oh Tsunami wave
     With your awesome power roar
     Take me to love deep

Written for those who, if they were faced with a Tsunami, rather
than pathetically try to run, face and embrace the wonderful
   afterlife ! :)
I've been on the other side, I know how wonderful it is...beyond
   words.

Things That Grow

I am not a poet or a master of prose.
I am a just a man who likes to write
About anything that grows.
Like flowers that bloom at first light
All lined up in tiny little rows
Beautiful petals at a perfect height
To be seen in the shadows.

The essence of man and his plight
To grow up to be a normal Joe
Lives in the day and sleeps at night
Waiting for love and ability to sow
The fates of the two are the last rite
Pray for all things that grow
Before they reach the afterlife

In Our Next Lifetime

Losing you could not have left,
A more tragic scar on my well being,
I used to fall asleep and dream,
That you were well and alive,
But every time the sun hits the horizon,
I can't help but cry,
Hard,
Long,
And uncontrollably.
Where does our future go now?
Everyone tells me don't worry,
“You can't sit and stress.”
But if they knew how deep the love,
They’d be just as depressed.
I love you more than anything,
You taught me more than many things,
And when I meet you in the afterlife,
Promise you'll never leave my side.

Peace

Paradoxical man:
Seeks peace
In vain things

Exploits others
For personal gain;
Calls it progress

Fights change,
Loves the status quo;
Makes excuse for war

Wants fair play
Mistreats others;
Chains of free enterprise

Uses lofty terms
Love and compassion;
Hostile takeover

Wars kill people
Both sides slaughtered;
Peaceful cemeteries

We say we want peace
But we prepare for war;
Small wonder then

So much chaos
Ego blood shed;
Peace in the afterlife

Violence seeds
Yet more violence;
All are guilty

The Best Wife

As time fades our fire still burning bright Reassuring we'll never drift apart Our souls forever dancing in the light Pumping all of your love into my heart Even when the ups and downs come and go Our spiritual bond won't be broken While our love continues to heal and grow Shielding the dangerous words when spoken Always mending the emotional scars Along our journey to eternity We will walk hand and hand up to the stars When it's time to transcend externally Praying we'll not part in the afterlife Because you will always be the best wife 6/29/2017
