hope, love, hope, love, universe,
In the jungle where animals roam free
From atop the highest tree
A seed falls to the ground
In the earth, its' roots of life are found
The mighty oak was once a seed
An acorn with the instructions it needs
To become what it was meant to be
From the jungle floor it rises to become a sturdy tree
The seeds of hope reside within our being
In winter, there is the hope of spring
When there's drought, there is the hope of rain
When all seems lost, hope still remains
In this vast universe love is king
It's the reason for sunshine and rain
The reason why we're here is plain
The seeds of love dwell within all things

Acorn
By the side of the road
Abandoned
Bird's nest
In the middle of the road
Each with a story,
They draw my eye to them
Home I furnish for them
........Together
On my shelf

Just a few minutes
The soft cymbals play
As raindrop absorb
Rhythm in tune they stay
Bamboo windchimes
Give a hollow voice
An occasional acorn
Lends noise not by choice
Raindrops increase
Their clicking sound
It is now rushing down
Damp and cold pouring around
Birds not making sound
There are no crickets chirping
Today only cars and planes
Coming this way
Raindrops linger on trees
And shrubs water gathered
For next summer's doves
Good day for soup and love

Come Ye thankful people come
For it is Autumn
And the leaves are coming down
Run run sweet John Barley Corn
Let's play ring around the pumpkin
As the harvest moon shines
On the jingle jangle scarecrow
For I'am just a little acorn
Bounded for another harvest home
As the wind shakes the barley
Like a slow Thanksgiving waltz
For our farmers sets the table
To a wondrous haymakers hoedown
For we bid ado to a Shokan's fairwell
And now thank we to all our God

Plant a Baby
Why be average, when you can be extra ordinary?
Why write a letter of complaint, when you could write a story?
I have fallen head over heals and landed flat on my face;
I need you to pick me up and make me yours.
Love, love and hate, hate.
Let me paint you a picture of the two of us in love.
Harvest a baby and grow an acorn;
Fall makes leaves fall all around us,
To show summer has come and gone.
Pass the test paper, or at least try your best.
Grow a conscience and intellect, alongside your cress.
Create life with a seed and hope for a better tomorrow;
Plant a baby on Sunday and forever heal its sorrow.

age, life, love,
Shared my morning coffee with a squirrel
he chattered on about the acorn fall
while balanced on a flaming Maple bough
then gone into the fervor of his day
Meditated on the rainbow oily black
sipped the potent potion out of need
felt the warmth of love's soft eyes
sweet embers of an everlasting flame
Rekindling the moments of a life
a shower dropped a ripple in my cup
sending a gentle shiver up my spine
cold rain upon another endless day

angst, longing, lost love, pain,
The agon of a love thrown out, debased,
Doth wound as deep as deeply ever could
It cuts across the veins in my pump based
And turns my heartfelt words to dull, dry wood.
It is a blinding shadow hid in wit
That thinks, by wit that it cannot be seen,
A diamond rose, and silver leaf – on it,
A gold acorn; these three are yet too mean
To offer to the lady of my heart,
Or yet, to win her favor for my helm,
Or yet, to seal my hope against her dart,
Enough! For her, the finest in the realm!
Doth not suffice, nor will, my noble friend.
But you shall love her to the bitter end.

Where is love begun
Is from an acorn started
Strength by years evoke.

metaphor,
The Last Acorn
long shadow of tall oak chilled the garden
faint sunshine, through bare branches, offered pardon
to those who lingered late to watch life harden.
frost stung roses, reddened cheeks slow faded,
lost color of a garden slow upbraided
in waning warmth of summer love grown jaded.
sad vestige of a seasons slow demise
an acorn falls beneath the graying skies
oak tree now bare, a hungry squirrel cries.

life, loss, lost love, sad,
Imagine an acorn that falls from the tree
As i fell from my parents
When I hit the ground I fell in love
My roots grew deep in you and you made me strong
You cut those roots of and now I am dead
Yet I still stand like a rotten old tree
It's a shame acorns can't fly
Never having hit the ground I might have lived on
My son Tyler is my acorn he made falling from the tree
Well worth hitting the ground
Help him grow strong as you did me
But teach him to fly For the ground is nothing but dirt!!!

My heart yearns on,
My head looks back,
Safety, security: the acorn boy’s call.
But my wings can’t stay folded,
When the sapphires attack,
The warrior leads me to fly or to fall.

mysterious oak
with her sparkling twinkling leaves
sprung from an acorn
I chose the oak because I love her.
She has always nurtured me and enticed my imagination.

familyme, family, family, me,
My family has accepted me for who I am since I was born
They nurtured my growth faithfully since the acorn
With their knowledge like water and love like the breeze
Which gave me strong roots and let me breathe life through my leaves
They taught me to reach for sun of my dreams from out of the dark
To overcome this harsh natural world with a strong bark
They open their heart and listen from their best stance
They don’t judge me or hang me from the branch
There’s no other place I’d rather be
Than spending time underneath my own family tree
