Consciousness Fulcrum

My works need not be successful
Just when consciousness-centered
Success can be spiritual
Mundane and ill-tempered
If the living Holy Spirit of the
Absolute in me abide
My thoughts, words and actions
Will, indeed, be love-linked
Linked will be my neighbor with me
Each creature of the universe I see
As part of the consciousness fulcrum
And cosmos would flow in free rhythm...

Love His Absolute Best

I thought to bring you
a bouquet of stars,
for everyone brings
roses; I thought of a
ruby, big as mars – but
who could wear such
a thing?! I thought what
value such a tiny heart
though it beats only for
you, someone who has
become my world? Then
I thought behind this tiny
heart, driving my every breath,
is the God of a universe,
who thought of Creation,
Love His Absolute Best!

The "senses" Since

I remember the look
In those big brown eyes
As you’d smile and laugh
And leave me hypnotized

I remember the touch
Of your hands so soft
How you’d hug and comfort me
And shake the cold off

I remember the taste
Of your sweet lips on mine
Enthralled in a kiss
For hours at a time

I remember the sound
Of your voice so warm
You’d just whisper gently
And quiet the raging storm

I remember the smell
That enchanted my nose
The scent of your body
Bathed in absolute rose

Yes, I remember you dear
And all the love we grew
And I have spent a lifetime
Making “sense” of you

A Powerful Force

Faith is a powerful force requiring absolute trust. It allows one to believe they are loved and not alone. Suffering persecution, some have little more than faith. And yet, it's unshakable in times of adversity. Praying perpetuates hope, opening one's heart to God. And when one first feels His love, everything quickly changes. One's beliefs can imbue life with a strong sense of purpose. Existence should never feel empty or unfulfilling. The love that one has for God is oft rooted in blind faith. And yet, that faith sustains one, nourishing both heart and soul.

Black

Dream of love
All the colors
Absence of color
Black and white
Their beauty is absolute
Perfect harmony

What would the stars do
If the nights were not black
Streetlights would be lacking
Diamonds and fireflies
Need the black

A funeral passes by
Black cars and black hearses
Draped in fading flowers
The color of death
I think in black
Death should be
The color of sunset

My lover is black
She says
True love is or it ain't
Thin love is no love at all
To love and be loved
Is everything
It makes your soul
Climb out from its hiding place

Black is not sad
Bright colors depress me
They are empty
Black is poetic
It's how I imagine
The poet
Dressed in black...

Imagery

Love comes early in the morning
we watch the sun rise
a light yellow yolk
walking with red legs across the sky...
Hurrying from her car
we are just two lovers
locking hands in excitement
walking upon flower deep fields...
Her dress indigo with a sunflower
an art nouveau flower
song birds in the Magnolia
an ocean breeze fills our sails...
We had been up all night
waiting for the moon
to kiss the morning star
and the sun to rise like an Emperor..
Morning sky fills with saffron
orange, crimson with the blaze of Venus
reminding us of the absolute and the infinite
and the exaltation of new love..

No Tomorrows Without You

Given a choice of one day with you or an eternity without,
I'd choose one day, no doubt.
For what would an eternity be without the sun?
An endless search for light and warmth;
dark and cold;
no love to hold.
To live for ever with no rhyme or reason;
wondering alone,
kicking stones
down lovers lane.
A dismal existence without a song in my heart nor poem in my soul;
empty inside;
adrift with no tide.

But to have one day of absolute bliss
shared in your kiss,
warmth of the sun in your arms,
blue skies in your eyes,
The soothing rhythm of a love song beating in my heart;
poems flowing from within,
content therein,
would be worth all my tomorrows
Of lonely sorrows.....

The Left Hand of God

Memories of once the sun shined,
oiled and tanned we denied
the only living book and subtle nudges.
Nothing but truth in the grave
when too in love with everything
reached the top and found nothing
but the pain of a flame’s dedication
and an absolute conviction,
replays the familiar
screams and whispers them.
Strain a touch through the glare,
but they ain’t there.
No one left to save us
as we find common grace
included tears.

More Than a Pretty Face

Don't love me for my Pretty Face,
Youth and beauty are but a passing phase..
For some I'm pretty as sunshine,
And for some intoxicating as wine!
The little girl in me finds this flattering,
But over a time,it just gets overbearing..!
How can man be such a Fool??
Just a fair skin to make him drool..
Its just a shell which will fall apart,
Leaving behind my soul and heart..
But here,on face value it all ends,
For admirers,lovers or even friends..
It makes me cry out in frustration,
Deep down, I feel absolute isolation..!
Am I blessed or am I cursed?
Could anyone's fate be more worse?
On my knees, to THY I pray,
Someone to Love me, when I'm withered and grey!!

Ebony

Ebony

As denied passion in memories stings
while yearnings churn up a still crazy heart,
Stains of hatred on purest mind it brings,
for life, subtle soul remains deeply scarred,
Vivid thoughts twinkle and then drift apart.

No stopping to tears that flow in despair,
Condemned be time, engulfing all the flair,
Trust and love obsessed into agony,
absolute darkness would defy the fair
unless unveil these clouds of ebony !

Show Me God

The one God Absolute,
sent us His son Jesus ~
beacon of glowing light,
epitome of love,
who revealed inner sight.

The one God Absolute
appeared as The Buddha,
whose teachings we applaud;
sages known and unknown ~
in each shone light of God.

The one God Absolute
has no limitation
and may take any form.
Eyes closed, we feel within,
His bliss magnetism warm.

The one God Absolute
within cave of each heart,
lovingly guides our soul,
if we choose to listen,
whilst playing our life role.

Absolute Truth 8x8

I’ve heard it said life’s a river
With bends, rocky shallows and dams,
And love not gifts but the giver,
Don’t be a lion, but a lamb.

An apple a day is the cure,
And happiness comes from within.
Of one thing I’m totally sure
I much prefer vodka to gin!

Echoes of Brilliant Blue

As the blue bird called me to the pink ship
I then lived on an island with dry sands
I wasn't in a mood to let the chance slip
Looking at the crimson waves of warm life
I wished to taste the salt of human strife
In dazzling dance of swimming feet and hands
The sweet sounds of murmur from lip to lip

Answering the blue call I swam with joy
Normally I don't love the rising sea
But the brilliant blue birds that never cloy
Made me tipsy with their crispy stories
Making them my life long green memories
With them I got lost with a bursting glee
An absolute ecstasy, no alloy

Your Answers Are Yours Alone

I have all the answers for myself.
I know what I need to do, and how I should do it.
My soul speaks to me with absolute conviction.

No, I am sorry. I cannot
give you any of your answers.
If I did, they would be
my answers, pretending
to know what your
answers should be.

I have no idea,
And dare not lead you.
For God gave each
Of us our own path,
Our own hopes, our
own dreams. Some
of them are hidden
So they cannot be hurt
or violated by others.

If you listen to your heart,
your soul will bring your
answers to the surface.
Share them with no one.
They are yours alone.

Love's Light

My well-seasoned heart seeks love's light
Years of heartbreak, thwarted romance
Harrowing each eternal night
A wall flower in life’s last dance

Optimistic wish from years past
Sad thought on which I now reflect
I pray yesterday’s woes won’t last
Prize of love I've yet to collect

True love lost can negate life's joy
I will try to move on once more
Passion between a girl and boy
I seek with absolute rapport

Pity and self-loathing must end
I found true love with my best friend

Jesus Is the Vine We Are the Branches

Jesus Is the Vine.
I am the branch, Jesus is the vine.
For I am his, and he is mine.

To remain in him,
I'll bear good fruit.
This is God's command so absolute.

God, the gardener, comes
to trim and to prune.
For he wants me to
blossom and to bloom.

Bearing good fruit is his upmost desire,
For every bad branch will
be thrown into the fire.

Engrafted in Jesus...HIS joy I'll receive.
he's my very best friend
who will never leave.

By obeying his commands,
in his love, I'll abide.
For if I'm truly in him-
I'll have nothing to hide!

Living for Jesus, will be my true pleasure.
For HE is my vine, my rock, and my treasure!

Absolute Value

I hope this concept is familiar to you. I’m sure you are acquainted with “absolute value”. Points lie in the plane left of the y-axis. Integers can have negative values because of this. There’s nothing difficult here; it’s quite simple. Rene Descartes introduced us to this principle. In minus territory is where I find your value. Why don’t you just abscond and bid adieu?

The Demon Wins Again

The demon always wins.
You love thus you live.
You fly until death,
then the demon has fun.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely
Your fun is forever gone.
As if before was a fargone memory,
Now your curse has continued on.

Demon has taken my heart,
tearing my soul apart.
If it were an art,
then...

I am doomed...

Right Now

In the exact moment that I am right now
I stand in a sea of vulnerability;
susceptible to the effects of causes around me
and since I am fully aware,
I own my surroundings
I am one with sounds and vibrations
resonating from the earth;
I am that pulse of the drum beat
thats been thrashing
inside me since birth

Right now, I am exactly as I am
deeply flawed and misjudged
used, victimized and persecuted
Right now I am you in the absolute

Right now, I am exactly as I am
balanced, whole and complete
attracting abundance and certainty
Right now I am peace - still you

Right now, I am exactly as I am
You

Slick Limerick

Note: A.ga.pe is three syllables.

John Moses assumed he was doing well. You know only the absolute can tell. His Agape, copy, ranked totally sloppy, At the gate Peter said, ”what’s that I smell?’ `T was certain girl from our poetry soup, The one not in love with heavenly group, from behind me she snickered, and with Peter she bickered. This is the total stinky pooh…err… scoop! ================== ==================PS "Just Kidding" For and in Honor of Poet Destroyer And Contest: Slick Limerick

Sleeping Beauty

She gazed into my haunted eyes
Knowing my devotion was absolute and complete
She fulfilled my nefarious dreams
Ever so peaceful in her green eyed slumber
She struggled with the rope and tape
I whispered in her ear
Relax, your destiny is clear
You shall sail to the sweetest of places
I shall allow you your escape
Slowly, smothered with my pillowed love
She lies lifeless
In peace
With my poems upon her chest
She has found paradise at last
As the light fades from the far away sea
Old roads become watery graves
North she sails with my words upon her very soul

Grandma's Kitchen

In my grandmother's kitchen,
There are many wooden doors.
Every now and then I open the drawers
As I move utensils from this rack so open.

In my grandma's kitchen,
There is absolute abundance.
Sometimes as I dine, I fall into a trance,
While I feel gratitude for all that she's been.

In my granny's kitchen,
There are many people who come in and go.
Almost every day I wonder if they know,
Just how incredibly my granny always pitches in.

In my grandmother's kitchen,
There is always that someone cooking for me too.
As I wait patiently, I say with my heart so open,
"Thank you, granny. I love you."

You Affect Me

Like sad music
Can move me to tears
A cello’s deep
Hauntingly beautiful sound
Plays my soul with its resonance

Like a majestic sunrise over the ocean
Infinitive water and sky and fire
That brings enigmatic joy to my heart
The hope in endless new beginnings
The absolute awe of nature

You affect me
You connect to that deep place in my soul
In a way that no one else ever has.

forbidden fruit -

I immerse ...

nigh naked

in your keen and carnal insight ...

the rags of my inhibitions

strewn at my feet …

are my thoughts still my own

care and coil

or have you plucked those from my boughs

made ripe

the fodder for your dire divination?

peel the fruit, fresh

and slice it to your taste -

there is a neoteric bounty for your appetites

seasoned to sate

the desires of a goddess ...

laid bare

offerings for a graven image, pure

and devoured

as love's absolute oblation ...

thine.
