Hitting the Target

Here’s my poem for your perusal,
Though I’ll not grand first refusal.
It’s your privilege to reject it,
But I’ll not let you correct it.

Words transmitted to the page
I have no way to judge or gauge
If others deem a worthwhile read;
Despite that fact, I must proceed.

My target audience, you see,
Consists of no one else but me.
I love when friends or strangers read it;
It feels great, but I don’t need it.

Some would claim such self-expression’s
Nothing more than pure obsession.
Though there’s truth within that statement,
Don’t expect a poem abatement!

Hard As Iron

L-et your decision be hard as iron,
U-sing no abatement of severity;
I-n the midst of doubt and fear,
S-trong action shows your intensity.
I-mplacable or hard as iron,
T-he intention is truly firm;
O-beying the Lord Almighty doesn't make your mind squirm.

S-olid faith, hope, and love
A-re taught after you were born;
D-ay twenty-nine of January,
D-etermination is hard as
I-ron.

Love Takes a Bow

I look at the money,
  asking what’s it all mean

From the toys to the honey,
  and the years in between

I look at the statements,
  as my love takes a bow

Thanking God my abatement,
  although late—came about

My Foolish Heart

My foolish heart, added love to its cart
Feels all beings are one, with none apart
Forgiving faults, with breezy merriment
Ensconced in throb of blissful contentment
Thoughts which once cautioned, melded in my heart

Consciousness now cleansed, of ego spawned warts
Scent of love alone, my direction charts
Bliss humming within, without abatement
My foolish heart

Kindly souls affirm, love is a learnt art
Once empty within, joy ignition starts
Free of blockages and feral sediment
Purity draws in the divine current
Benign blessings bountiful, God imparts
My foolish heart

Rain

The voice reaches me
It is the sound of water dripping
The rain was heavy
The land was flooded by rain
It rang in my ears
But no matter how much it rains
It never abatement my love for you
If the rain is my love for you
I wish it never ceases

Where Are We

“share with me, your thoughts when in aloneness
reflecting level of your consciousness”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As we grow older, have we become wise
Is our each entrée spontaneity
Or thoughts camouflaged behind shifty eyes
Is our flow anger or tranquility
Are our thoughts, words and deeds in alignment
Kind and gentle or in ferality
Desires unceasing without abatement
Nurturing ego borne guilt and regret
Mirrored by fears rooted in attachment
Oh hermit! Love aligned, we stand erect
Vibrant bliss in heart being the summit
Illusion of Fear
Throb at the Manipura
Revealing hidden fear
There being no stigma
Let the fear draw near
Looking at contraction
Rooted in attachment
This simple recognition
Leads to its abatement
Awareness continuum
Immersed in the divine
Slows egoic pendulum
As with love self aligns
Oscillations will arise
Inevitably at some time
Viewing it in surprise
Love the healing thyme
