If a Goodbye Echoes

If a goodbye echoes when you say hello
And tears concealed admonish your smile
As life abandons you without hinting why,
Did you miss the sound of her silent cries?

If you need to ask how long does love last
You haven't heard the moan of her heart
Where quietly she hides grief of her wants
And quelling her passion, embraces doubts.

Her sadden vibes don't well-up your eyes
And the sound of her hurt just passes you by
As contemptuous voice ridicules her plight,

What it wouldn't say, you certainly have.

Love's Back In Season

Reducing facts to black and white leaves little room for shades of gray. And stubbornness leads to a fight; when neither’s willing to give way. When shouts instigate a ruckus, anger regurgitates stale lies. And when patience abandons us, we won't back off; till someone cries. Feelings flare under verbal fire, fueling harsh looks that could kill. And there's no escaping our ire; trickling tears start flowing at will. Yet, regretting slurs hurled in rage, time silently restores reason. And we start acting more our age, proclaiming; love's back in season.

A Dance of Chance

A Dance of Chance
Why must I wear,
My broken heart, on my sleeve,
When everyone I need abandons me,
Why must I watch,
Them depart taking,
A peice of my heart,
I have loved so hard,
I can barely breathe,
You blew into my life,
Like a summer storm,
When I was most in need,
You took me by the hand,
And let me lead,
We danced a dance,
Of eternal romance and need,
Under the stars and the moonlight,
It was a dance,
Like a game of Chance,
I closed my eyes,
And to my delightful surprise,
You were still by my side,
And now I can breathe my dear,
I'll never have to watch you leave.

The Sinner's Divine Sacrifice

Anguish cloaks her as she
Cradles her bundle of pure beauty in
Her squalid hands, tightly against her blackened heart
Painful tears caress his innocent face as
Her sordid soul violently weeps

Surrendering to her monstrous world she
Abandons her flesh and blood into unfamiliar arms
Allowing her miracle to disown his soiled mother,
Whose wicked soul will be damned for all eternity
But she knows
Fiery hell, will not be punishment enough

A Response and a Situation

What will you do if love abandons you?
And your heart drowns in a sea of despair
Will you see life from a different view?
Or you will think that it is just a flare

What if you sleep and never awaken?
Will you think that a dream is better than life?
Or you will like life being forsaken
And a dream is your new, eternal wife

What if you lose your emotions?
Will you weep with the weeper?
Or sail in deep, wild oceans
To discover emotions buried deeper

What if you lose your eye?
Will you still be able to weep?
Or just stare at the cloudy sky
And watch the drops of water sweep

A Kiss

To be captured by a moment,
searching the eyes
In a world never measured,
as it washes away ... to disappear
with soft falling tears of love
Seeking interludes of passion from fingertip caresses,
leaving sounds of burned sighs,
crying out in unison
Time becomes an ocean of waves,
pulling lover's through a realm of dreams,
into tomorrow
Trapped by silk webs of love that enslaves,
searching the eyes
Touching the heart ... lost in tenderness,
that inhales love's fragrant breath in quiet spaces,
trembling soft ...ever holy
before it abandons its rules
Kissing the mouth ... without restraint

Mistaken

the memories are slowly fading

a momentary respite from reality

i am back to where I started

a permanent relapse into insanity

I have been judged and found wanting

left alone to wander

in my solitude I reflect

past, present and future to ponder

the silence has deafened me

dead to the world you know

must’ve chosen differently

consequences I now sow

what love suddenly abandons?

set aside and buried

a forgotten space in your graveyard

a sight both sad and lurid

this is not a frivolity

I thought I was known better

this soul has self-destructed

agonizing, broken and bitter

They Say Blood Is Thicker Than Water

THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS COME OUT TO PLAY
NONE In DISARRAY
WHEN FAMILY ABANDONS YOU
AFTER SOME TIME, IT BECOMES REAL, TRUE
SO MUCH PAIN BECAUSE BLOOD SHOULD BE THICKER THAN WATER
OH HOW I THANK GOD FOR MY WONDERFUL DAUGHTER
SO MUCH JEALOUSY FOR SACRIFICES I MADE
WHILE THEY ARE STUCK IN MUD AND WADE
I FINALLY LEARNT THE BIGGEST LESSON OF THEM ALL
IF THEY WANT, THEY CAN CALL
I'm NOT GOING TO WORRY ABOUT THEM ANY MORE
WHAT THE HELL FOR?

Solitude By the Reverie

the tiniest sliver of a moon hangs distant
yet its faded heart long gone
it too abandons me tonight

i buried you today

how can i face returning to an empty home
though somehow i’ll have to come to terms
but this night’s for tears freeflowing
and unmedicated throbbing ache left raw

for release of what’s built up inside
the hurt the bitterness the anger
let go of what i can

deep down to the roots of my solitude
haunting gregorian chants fill my head

till finally i’m intoxicated
on visions of nostalgia and reverie

Oozing Affection

I spot you writhing
in your shell
undersized however
you possess an ocean
tally and release a tide
bestow your
tenderness to distinctive

forsake, further
vacuous chest
until slender bird
abandons nidus
his feathers come to
craft a verse of reliance

what a precious devotion
It's a ballad that...
I always create for you.

Deep Depression

I'm living with this devastation,
the lost of my love

The pain cuts deep,
deeper than a drawer filled with knives

My breaths are filled with anguish
and my days with deep depression

Oh sweet God, the pain and sorrow,
just keeps rushing in like the water from a broken dam

Can I go and cry another day
my eyes have run dry

So I take out my guitar
and I play the deepest of blues

I sing till I can sing no more...
my voice abandons me
