Love Poem: Your Verse

Your Verse

Outside the winds frosted
In the bracing of night
Immersed in you words
By the dim kitchen light
A chorus intoned chants
Of a longing desire
Bellows stoking up flame
In the kiln of heart fires
Soft embrace and her covets
Are the strength of this man
A hope is replenished
With a touch of her hand
Plunging in heavy
Thoughts dispersing away
Fears of a consequence
Disappearing astray
Ached at your verses
Crystal solitude cold
Wept aside such qualms
Of a racking untold
Askew in a trap
Of mistrust so human
Dreams painted evasive
Unseeingly lucid
Unselfish and sacrificed
Her angelic depths
Disguised in the shadows
Ardor slowly has crept
The miracle of you arrives
My life at it’s worst
Enamored by one sweeping look
Your eyes, smile, your verse
