Love Poem: Your Promise Is a Veiled Dagger

Your Promise Is a Veiled Dagger

my heart feels alone in this sea of apathy.
None remember their vows.
I see shards of broken bottles carrying messages and promises of love,
the paper disolved in the ocean water.
Deep in the sharks' ocean reefs cadavers lie of lovers abandoned and forgotten.
you swore on the stars, and left me to fall from the sky.
Your promise is a veiled dagger.
None remember their vows.

sorrowful winds blow away my tears as if autumn leaves.
I march upon my path alone with none to be my companion in life.
I have seen and done much in my journeys, yet none were my companion.
I have accomplished much which many never accomplish in their lifetime.
My grattitude to the divine who have enabled me the strength to o'ercome
the difficulties impeding my road. I have o'ercome thieves, bandits, and corrupt tollbooths,
yet my journey has just begun.
