Love Poem: Your Absent Presence

Your Absent Presence

I dream that one day
I would become a pilot,
and you be my only passenger.
The two of us would be
soaring up the sky
and discovering brand new skylines.
Only then a turbulence sets in,
breaking wings and crashing engines,
and I am left all alone.
The steering wheel trembles,
I can't shake off the very thought
of you being illusory.
Leaving navigation aside,
I hop to your seat
and take your transparency
as my last resort.
