I could have sworn you were in my dream today
when the wind blew in gently from the sea
when it wrapped tightly all around me
and held me throughout the night
I could have sworn I felt your breath today
as your arms seductively caressed my neck
my heart raced so and my mind let go
then all alone it was just me and you
I could have sworn you kissed my cheek today
as I felt my hands and my knees go weak
it was then and there you just disappeared and
I was left holding nothing but a sweet smelling air
I could have sworn you were in my dream today
but I failed to follow your lead
if I could go back there's one thing I'd do
it would be to tell you that I love you
