Love's Magic
As love confronts uncertainty,
emotions oft levy a cost.
And yet, in your fantasy realm,
that reality's often lost.
The doubts slowly morph into fears,
that drift into forevermore.
And struggling with anxiety,
you flag memories to explore.
A flash from the past sparks a smile
as you recall feelings of love.
And revisiting yesterdays
you question what truths were made of.
Love's magic was spontaneous;
igniting sparks within your heart.
Yet, they were quickly extinguished,
and passion's flame failed to start.
Time will slowly erase the hurt
as dying dreams and hopes renew.
And you will fall in love again;
for somewhere, someone; dreams of you.
