Love Poem: You Didn'T Have To Go

You Didn'T Have To Go

You have left me, and so I am untenably hurt;
Broken and bleeding is now my heart.
You’ve left interrupted my beat and flow;
Why did you have to go?

During our sharing last we agreed again we’d meet;
And there was no vile clue for all was sweet upbeat.
Did I had to keep up all the flaring hope,
While you nourished the nerve to say nope?

It pierces the heart to remember me and you,
And the time we spend together, and the deafening two-and-two;
It deflates the spirit to know a heart has left,
That once was the beat over which I wept.

The dream-like splashing in the sand and sea,
And critical skins warmly attached till night was wee;
Wasn’t that the love that flowed to the brim?
Can that again be found save only in a dream?

You didn’t have to go, oh dearest Miss,
And deny me the treasure touch and the numbing kiss;
I do not know why, I never will know how,
Better not into you the seed to sow.
