You Breathed Life Into Man

You hung the moon
Accompanied by the night
You hung the sun
Accompanied by the light
You hung the clouds
Images of angels bright

What did I ever do to deserve
The mercy, grace and forgiveness
You’ve placed into my life, freeing me
Forgiving me and saving me from death
And the grave – the devil’s deadly wrath
What did I ever do to deserve
A love so true to me, a love so gentle
A love that would always leave me
With assurance of heaven’s embrace

You breathed life into man
A sweet joy that is alive
You gave us all your plan
Making us give our drive
You taught us the ways we can
Make it through fears and revive

What did I do to deserve
Your unending peace and love
You’ve brought me through the worst
And taught me to always look up
To the place where you send me dreams
From the sweetness of angel’s wings
You’ve sent me a second chance
To be filled with love and compassion
A sense of truth that is alive
With the faith that only You provide

You remind me why
I feel so free and alive
You fill my entire life
With joy and hope that thrive
You accept me as I am
With forgiveness where I strive
