You Are My World

Do you hear singing violins, oboes and the harp?
We dance in love as cheek to cheek we feel elated:
Hear the symphony, a melody from bass to sharp.
Dance on, luscious lovers, for thus we were created.

For this has now become our much desired world, we know
Your breath mingles with mine, o how ecstatic we feel
It has to happen for our love must forever grow.
Bodies held tight, only by passion is life real.

Our eyes shine like twinkling stars, our hearts entwined, appeal.
This our world, our night, our day, our everything delight.
Our lasting prayer that must not cease, our love must seal,
Our zeal must never cease, we dare not feel such dire fright.

If love ceases to be, it's the end for both of us,
But our dance will last for such thoughts are superfluous.
