You and a Hammer To the Head From God
once i was a prisoner of self degradation
at one time i was in denial of my own poisonous self
it took you and a hammer to the head from God to bring me back to my senses
now i am so centered i can even see sideways without becoming dizzy
i am healthier in mind, body, and spirit
i can actually admire the beauty of the light of day without heavily squinting
despite my actually having some sense now, you still hit me in the head with God's hammer occasionally
you claim God gave it to you Himself in secret "just in case"
i think you yourself bought it on the sneak tip on sale at the home depot near our townhome and "christened" it "God's Hammer" because i am....A GUY....
no matter the whatevers, i love you all the same
i may suck up some lumps along the way, but your affectionate smile and loving heart is worth all the inflicted pain and then some....
