Love Poem: You

You

You gave me breath.
You watch me rise,
You take me,
You embrace me.
You are always there through the darkness.
You mourn when I mourn,
You smile when I smile,
You have joy when I do.
You love me, even when I turn away.
You walk hand and hand with me.
You carry me when times get tough.
You have never turned your face that would only be me.
You cry when I turn my face away, and lean on my own understanding. But when I
come back you run to me.
You embrace me; you tell me how much you love me.
You tell me through the wind that you are always there.
You tell me to trust you, to believe in you.
You tell me to love everyone, because you want me to strive to be like your son.
You tell me not to be like a lamb that is quiet.
You tell me to go half way and you will meet me there.
You become angry when I disobey, but I come and ask you to forgive me,
You remember nothing that I did.
All you want from me is to obey
