Love Poem: You

You

There are many things that need to be said between you and I.
I have a longing to impress onto you the way you can so simply shape the way I am.
Ambiguity never built anything but an indecisive persona.
Much less than any respectable man could strive for.
You make me want to be more than that.
Much more.

So much so, that in every simple action, I pause and reflect upon whether this is something
that you could accept or not.
Not saying that I crave your approval, much like that of a child starving for attention from
his mother, but more in the light of knowing that you’re opinion in this choice is directly
coinciding with what is right and wrong.
I sense in you something I have never felt in another woman, being the absolute want to
commit to an action wholeheartedly as if it were absolutely and positively the one thing that
a good person would.

In lesser words, I need you much more than you need me.
Thank you for this and all of the possibilities you create without even knowing.

In your sense of overwhelming righteousness, I find solace, which is more than anyone
could ever dream for.
