Love Poem: Yes You

Yes You

How do you describe the wonderment of a sunrise
Or the awe of a majestic view?

Is it possible to translate the emotion of a miracle
That has happened to you?

God in all His mercy, looked long into my heart
He saw me as I am, loved me like only He can
By sending me you, my love, yes you.

I know the roads we have traveled
And I am sure those trails are past.
As we walk together take my hand
To share our course at last.

God in all His mercy, looked long into my heart
He saw me as I am, loved me like only He can
By sending me you, my love, yes you.

What can I give or what can I offer
That would compare to what you’ve pledged to me?

But my devotion, my trust and my future,
My debt for your love eternally.
