Yearning

Summer swan song dissolves in autumn romance, clumps of cloud caressed by the silk of sapphire sky wait for the northern wind to hold the hands to dance on the edge of kaleidoscopic horizon before they fly. The garden path laces the blushing trees facing the fall, wilted umber leaves weave the tapestry of blazing hue, the autumn music resonates in the rustle as they crawl, reclined grass of cinnamon meadow dons crown of dew. Washed by consumed summer’s spell of departing spray the twilight sky simmers in the setting sun’s sinking flare, from the forest’s amber canopy all the birds soar away, the shadow of tinged foliage floats on waves of crisp air. The deflected arrays of moonbeam ripple on your face, from amorous sea knitted pearls on swells of joy sprawl, whispering autumn breeze wraps you in ardent embrace, as with the stardust a million sparks of my yearning fall.
