Love Poem: Wrong For You

Wrong For You

Two artists
Two girls
A single song
Slitting our wrists
We watch together as life unfurls
Taking in short and long

We smiled
We laughed
We love
Together we life beguiled
Together we took up the aft
Together we sat above

Rhapsodies wrapped reality
Encompassing the light
In came the dark
We didn’t understand such physicality
So used to the light
Not the song of the lark

My song was not the right one for you
We could not overcome the shadow
Our symphony was wrong
And we were the wrong thing to do
And soon we knew it to be low
So we loosed into the throng

Bitter the parting
Of songs intertwined
Wreckage of harmony
But that is the thing:
Why continue the bind
When bent is the key?
