Love Poem: Wrinkles

Wrinkles

We'll earn every wrinkle as we grow old
Sitting by the fire to warm from the cold
For every wrinkle carries a memory
It part of who we are it's our history

We'll pay our dues like time demands
Facing fate together, holding hands
Things always get a little better with time
So it'll be okay if we're past our prime

I'll bet we'll have a million stories to tell
Reading all our letters back when mail was mail
We'll talk about the world and all its change
The things they call new we're gonna call strange

But that's the way a marriage is meant to be
With me loving you and you loving me
It's easy as can be when it's love at first sight
It doesn't get any better when you know it's right

We'll earn every wrinkle as we grow old
Sitting by the fire to warm from the cold
For every wrinkle carries a memory
It part of who we are it's our history
