Love Poem: Wounds

Wounds

A kiss, softer than a shadow,
Is all we dare desire
As intimate involvement filled
With all of passions’ fire

More might crush those feelings
We need to keep us sane
Or like a moth, be consumed
In the heat of Passions’ Flame.

To those who inflicted wounds
Now in healing states
Know that somewhere up ahead
A crushing fate awaits.

The one we need is out there
But fearful are we still
To drop our guard, reveal ourselves
No, there’ll be no trust until …

Our confidence of who we are
And believe: The best will be …
When we get past the Hurt
Inflicted recently

Only then, when scars are healed
When self-confidence resumes
Can we again enjoy
Passion’s grand perfumes.

    Remember …
Forgiveness is the perfume a flower leaves on the shoe that crushed it.
