Love Poem: Would You Still Love Me

Would You Still Love Me

Would you still love me
If I let down my smiling mask
The one making me seem so alluring
As to ignite in those who see me from afar
The greenish fires of Envy

Would you still love me
If I renounce of my alter ego
The one which everyone admires
And lauds, knowing not that deep down
I remain as simple as a blade of grass in a bouquet

Would you still love me
If I were made of disease
Porous, filled with venom
Yet, found there where it can be seen not
Meant to be revealed only if I deem it best to

Would you still love me? Oh I forgot, you love me not
How silly of me to ask you such stuff
As if, you really did love me
As if, you cared for that ugliness which I keep hidden
As if, you would dry those tears hidden in the sparkles of my eyes!
