Worse Than Death Is This Dying

To see you with that woman, it shatters me inside..
I hear her giggling voice as she walks by your side.
It was me that used to laugh at all your jokes, and I -
I love you so it’s killing me; I run away and cry.

I have to turn my head away. I just can’t bear the sight
of you and her together. I cry into the night.
I cannot pluck my eyes out when you and she are near.
I cannot tear my ears off so your laughter I don’t hear.

Chorus:
Oh, please be mine again. Worse than death is this dying.
I love you so. I wait here, Dear, crying crying crying.

You have got me wishing that I had no sight at all.
You could put me in a coffin covered with a pall,
for better off I’d be dead! After all that we’ve been through,
how could you destroy me when I was so good to you?

Yes, better to pluck my eyes out or put me in the ground
than let me see you with that girl and hear the happy sound
of you and her together. I’m dying, can’t you see?
Baby, baby, baby. Please come back to me.

Chorus:
Oh, Please be mine again. Worse than death is this dying.
I love you so. I wait here, Dear, crying crying crying.
Worse than death is this dying. Oh, worse than death is this dying.

A song inspired by Beth Hart singing "I'd Rather Go Blind"
For Robert James Liguori's "Beth Hart Inspiration" Contesy
Note: Actually, "i'd Rather Go Blind" was written a long time ago
by Etta James, so it's just a song Beth Hart sings really well!
