Love Poem: Working On Me

Working On Me

Working on me

Leaves me little time to

Find your flaws

Removing the boulders from mine own eyes

Leaves

Me little time to see that speck in your eye.

I am working on me,

Attention whores, I can't see you

Drama queens, I can't hear you.

Facing forward,

Watching my steps.

Lifting weights, getting stronger

No longer, getting side tracked.

the pro-longer, no longer

Neither prevaricator or the caretaker;

Working to fulfill my purpose.

That's not my circus.

Not even curious about what tricks

Your monkeys can do.

Meditating to find my peace of mind.

This room is huge, a lot to improve.

Working on me. Soon I will flex.

Test my strength, but never compare.

Moving right along doing what comes next.

Staying balanced on my beam.

And working on me.
