Love Poem: Without You

Without You

You said I was your lover
In me you found security
Those words brought joy into my life
But that joy has now left me
This space is so unfamiliar now
Although, I’m in it everyday
I find myself lost in memories
Without words that can convey
How I hate sleeping without you
My dreams turning to nightmares
Or how I can barely breathe without you
As you are my source of air
I see no need for the light of day
Or the darkness before dawn
I really see no need at all
For me to carry on
Life has become dead to me
No more time do I wish to borrow
For as long as I have to live without you
I will not welcome my tomorrow
No time, no space, no gift from God
Can stop this agony
The only thing I want right now
Is to have you here with me
