Within My Heart - a Prayer
Within my heart...
I trust the Lord, Jesus, when I feel defeated
remembering in troubled times, He is needed.
He is the Almighty who mends the broken-hearted.
He is the Father who embraces the departed.
I call his name to discover hope and love again.
He has never forsaked me, my Savior and Friend.
I cry out to Jesus in supplication this hour.
His love pours over me, a heavenly shower.
He answers my prayers. He calms my storms.
Through tears, I thank Him for a life transformed.
Lord, I feel sorrowful. Lift me above your creation.
Comfort me through days of trial and tribulation.
I will not live solely by my own understanding.
By faith I believe You died, rose and are living...
within my heart.
