Within
But that he lives within each moment
time not the resource
but every cloud and mist, and breath of lively spent
within me, my life's course.
He lives forever, as a summit of a hill,
its loftiness, not porous ~
he lives, as energy refines its will
some gentle flying toward us.
He lives, because God speaks of it in just
resolve ~ and in his order strive
not empty lot, nor score as plus
that time and art revive.
Oh hope, remove our doubting wait
and cast our love to moor trust.
As when His timing reformats,
thy purpose still accord, as thus ~
Eternal circle compensate
within ~ let mercy penetrate
as faith, in God's perpetuate ~
Obedience, without man's rate!
