Love Poem: Wishes Ain'T Horses

Wishes Ain'T Horses

Thinking of the times we use to share
Wishing I could turn back the hands of time
So those times will once again be here
And you my star once more shine.

I never cease reminiscing
Walking down memory lane
Into fantasy world, always drifting
Seeking to ameliorate this pain.

Tenaciously, the past holds onto me
Thoughts of you have become my daily companion
What shall my fate be?
This truth seems a chameleon.

My life has become a troubled ship
On the world a turbulent sea
Out of reality I always and constantly slip
Into a far away destination my mind's eyes can't see.

Life has lost its flavour
'Cos you've abducted my life's loveliness
Its blissfulness I can no longer savour
You've thrown me into the hands of loneliness.

I wonder where those times are
And wish this is a dream
That wont venture far
Before being washed away by reality's stream.

But wishes ain't horses
So I must trod this hard road of reality
Wishes are mere fantasies
For real we are now history.
