Love Poem: Winter Night Fantasy

Winter Night Fantasy

Moonlit snowflakes land gently upon
our cheeks and lashes. Flushed rosy in splendor
Of winter night, we fall as one to powdered lawn.
Laughter weaves through flurries as we surrender,
hearts floating, to warmth of love, new and tender.

Eyes reflect passion in beauty of midnight.
Dazzling crystal white, winter sets dreamy stage
of romance for taste of first kiss. Stars take flight
overhead in constellations as we come of age;
one gentle touch to calm burning of ardent rage.

In delicate lace of snowy air, we rise.
Our hearts soar high enough to carve the moon
into slivers of silver dust. Tomorrow lies
below us in promise of glaring afternoon
light, to wake us from midnight fantasy too soon.
