Winter Love Story

WINTER LOVE STORY

Frozen lake with signature marks
Two lovers skating creating a heart
He takes her hand as she lands from a spin
She blushes, she noticed his smile from within
Their romance was exquisite, their timing precise
As they danced and performed on the fragile Ice

The roses are red, the violets blue
The winter was wonderland, the snow-capped view
Inevitability such a cold word, that creeps up on lovers
In a winter-land world

The Ice starts melting, the lake opens and cracks
The lovers, the skaters, had no way back
For as perfect as love, as pure as the snow
When the Ice starts to melt then a lover will go
You mark my words for you'll see they are true
Just as seasons will alter the lake changes too

The roses deep red, the violets deep amethyst blue
Still holding the bouquet that the spectators threw
For the stage was their lake, where this love was on show
The audience in silence, the star fades, time to go

The Moonlight her beacon, her guiding light home
Whilst the man she adores tries to skate on alone
He holds out his hand to the thousands of stars
Hoping once more to touch her, no matter how far

With a tear in his eye and an I will always love you,
He shouts ....,

That the roses are still red, the violets still blue
