Love Poem: Winter Lillies

Winter Lillies

Your eyes are aglow

Leading through them

vines

Mysterious thoughts

Wondrous skies

What are you thinking?

I want to know

Rose petal cheek

Drop of dew falls from your eye

What memories pain you so?

I wish to unlock your troubled past

I'll walk through the thorn felt foliage with you

The dark clouds hover over head

Doors covered in vines

Rows

I'll pull from the roots

They go deep underground

I see what you did inside yourself

Veins

Where scars lie

Past words written across your forearm

Thin, deep cuts placed over your heart

Blood soaked sleeves

Right where your heart was worn

My words, the Aloe Vera

Smoothed over delicately

Your heart

Compassion

What I feel

I empathize

I too bore marks

My arms streaked with the acidic tears

My deteriorated heart

Pieces back together with your words

Our lives intertwine

Never let me go

I'll hold you through the night mares we'll go through

Already passed the first door

Others to come

Never ending staircase

We'll spiral down together

This house is haunted

Our past mistakes trip us with each step

We'll carry on

Burdens weigh upon our shoulders

Slowly we trail

Many a door is passed

Automatic piano plays shakily throughout the halls

Breathing to match the feeling that the music expressed

Whispers echo through the fog

Behind us the house can be seen now

In the distance

A light raps around the vanilla sky

Stars orbit vaguely

Unanswered prayers

Through the woods we fall

The darkest of our moments

We confide in each other

I'll catch you as you descend

Once again in my arms

I'll kiss that crystal that lay upon your cheek

More crystals fall now

You kiss the crack in my smile

Shards of glass fall from my eyes now

Through the happiness we found in each other

The sadness cuts my cheeks

Emotion bleeds reveling my sorrow

Swimming with you in death

We find new life

Out in the courtyard

We lay upon the snow

White blossoms fall from the celestial sphere

Our blood crystallizes this snow

Rose petals fly from our warm claret

You, the spark that caught my eye, were the death of me

I'll love you forever

Carried away by the wind

Our memories

We fall asleep

Words never will be spoke again

Feelings will never be felt

Our love ends here

In death we find each other

That mark we left on the world will bloom sweet lilies

May they never die like we did in this frigid world
