Winning War Battles of Love

This is so ridiculous
And I'm getting sick of this
Let's stop all the devastation
And destruction that's creating
A wavy and ripple effect
We need to halt and dissect
Why we always cross the line
With anger we can't leave behind
Causing problems to arise
That are burning in our eyes
As we stare each other down
Trying to win another round
Of a battle that won't quit
Piece by piece and bit by bit
These injuries of war are real
Like a sword we both can feel
Puncturing our hearts to release
Our love slowly and decrease
Any chance of starting fresh
Each new cut will give useless
Hope this love will find a way
With a treaty we'll display
Proudly showing everyone
Even battles can be won
If the anger starts to build
And your love is getting killed
Breath deeply and just relax
Taking a few slow steps back
Calming down and you will learn
These actions can help you burn
All the bridges that will lead
To the hate that likes to feed
On lost souls when they don't see
If you don't try to agree
And share everything inside
Anger will make sweet love die
