Winds of Change

Straight out of my dreams and into my heart Love came stepping in from out of the blue Life changing in many ways from the start A spark struck between two that grew and grew. Happy were the days and tender the nights On a bed of roses we both would lay Loving and snuggling each other so tight "In the arms of an angel" we would say. What happened to exquisite joy we’d share Magic moments that became far and few Happiness turned into woes of despair As the winds of change blew love out of view. Love is a montage of mystical things It's magic that’s played upon the heart's strings. * * 25th November 2020 Winds of change - Sonnet Poetry Contest Sponsored by: John Hamilton
