Wind Chimes

You gave to me some wind chimes
so that every time the wind blew
I would think of you.
The wind seemed to know
I needed to hear it blow
for when the wind blew softly
you loved me so tenderly
Those wind chimes knew you were meant for me
Oh, we made love so sweetly
listening to their melody
You said you'd love me forever
and every time the wind blew
the chimes would remind me of you
That old wind is blowing, playing our melody
but your're not here loving me
They say you found someone new
You should have told those wind chimes
that we were through
How can I forget you
The wind won't let them be
it keeps on playing our melody
Oh, we made love so sweetly
listening to their melody
You said you'd love me forever
and every time the wind blew
the chimes would remind me of you
Now every time the wind begins to blow
it's as if the wind chimes know
that you're not here besides me
to hear their melody
They still play sweetly
even though their melody is just for me
How can I forget you
the wind won't let them be
it keeps on playing our melody
Oh, we made love so sweetly
listening to their melody
You said you'd love me forever
and every time the wind blew
the chimes would remind me of you
