Love Poem: Will You Be Mine

Will You Be Mine

I see
But not for long
I breathe
Life’s end song

I thought leaving you was right
But now I know I was wrong
My eye’s close to life’s long song
My lungs can’t breathe my chest is tight

I won’t feel pain
Hurt won’t be my gain
I’ll leave someone else to enjoy life’s test
For me my love, I failed and now I must rest

I was happy once and did not realise
That breaking it off, would be my demise
I know this, for all the diamonds and gold
I would give them away, just to have you one more time to hold

If I were in a desert it is not water I would miss
But just to feel one more gentle, soft kiss
I want things as they used to be
You holding kissing and loving me

I see
But not for long
I breathe
Life’s end song
