Who Told You Love Is Real

Look around you
The baggages of corruption constantly cling to the backs of your potbellied leaders like a mosquito sting that intoxicates you with plasmodium (malaria)!
_____ _____
Gingerly doth their lips preach the message of peace and goodwill.

Yet!
Their eyes and hands exert the works of iniquity on you.
Still your deceitful lips lead you to say
 LOVE IS REAL!

Look Around you.
Jealousy stockpile like hay in a barn in the complacent minds of your friends
(loved ones).

Complacent?

Yes,
that's a term for the slow manner at which they'd rip your neck like Klaus Mikaelson and Elijah in a battle,
with no regrets.
Yet! You say LOVE IS REAL!
Look again please!

Look around you!
What do you see?
Your EGO constantly jabbering at your ID without fail.
Not caring for the mutual inclusivity
both share in your body.

One side of you is at war with You.
Or another side of you!

Which then is You?
Dear Friend,
Look around You still,
Is LOVE REAL?

Love is a shattered glass
Several pieces attributed to several persons.
But this shard that each holds,
Is not even enough to spark a reactive plug
in the engines of your emotional mechanism
(yes, your HEART).

My Friend, Look again.
Who told you that
 LOVE IS REAL?
