Who Am I

I am who I am,
and that’s where I stand
so proud to be an African woman.

My color describes me,
and I hold great power
to be fearless and brave towards what I may encounter.
I’m like a lion in the jungle in control of myself.
I portray strong life, strength and health.
I rule my actions,
I rule my thoughts,
and I fight to give it all that I’ve got.

I am who I am,
and that’s where I stand
so proud to be an African woman.

I’ve got goals and ambitions and strong motivations
to always persevere in my every motion.
I am an independent woman so free to give the world me.
When I look at myself
I see power, I see pride and dignity.
I see a child of God and her destiny.
